Son Ye Jin Talks About How She Fell in Love With Hyun Bin

Son Ye Jin recently opened up about her love story with actor and husband Hyun Bin, offering fans a candid insight into their relationship. During the Last Princess’ BIFAN meet event on July 7, 2024, the popular actress revealed how their romance blossomed, attributing their connection to destiny.

Son Ye Jin details how she fell in love with Hyunbin

On July 7, the actress shared in an interview that it was Hyun Bin’s physical attributes and mannerisms that initially drew her towards him.

“Many people meet, start dating, get married. That’s what happened too. Hmm… It’s just destiny. People kept saying we resemble each other, and I’ve never really thought of myself as looking like another person. But the more I looked at it, the more I thought we’re a bit similar,” she explained. The actress also highlighted that working together on two projects helped deepen their bond, describing Hyun Bin as intelligent, genuine, and handsome.

Their love story, a favorite among K-drama fans, began on the set of the 2018 film The Negotiation, where they played adversaries in a high-stakes scenario. This connection was further cemented during the filming of the highly popular drama Crash Landing on You in 2019.

“We worked together on 2 projects, which I liked a lot. How should I say this… he is smart. He is upright and rational. He is not a person who presents himself in a package, you get what you see. And… it was also the appearance. He’s handsome and tall, and he’s reliable,” she continued.

Despite the common occurrence of actors dating within their industry, the actress had not anticipated it for herself but embraced it when it happened. On January 1, 2021, after much speculation and hope from fans, Hyun Bin and Son Ye Jin confirmed their relationship publicly. They celebrated their love with a private wedding ceremony on March 31, 2022, attended by family and close friends, and welcomed their son in November of the same year.

Reflecting on their journey, Son Ye Jin admired Hyun Bin’s straightforwardness and reliability, which solidified their deep connection.

Earlier this month, SEVENTEEN’s Wonwoo thrilled fans by making his other Instagram account, “film_jww,” public. He started this account to showcase his passion for photography, and understandably, CARATs were excited to see the world through his lens.

The excitement peaked when Wonwoo accidentally followed a Filipino fan’s Instagram account.

The lucky fan, overwhelmed with excitement, took to her X account to share her experience. She explained that she was just as shocked and surprised as anyone else when she saw Wonwoo had indeed followed her. She added that it wasn’t her intention to brag about what happened; she just wanted to express herself and hoped others would understand that it was an accident.

The fan also insisted that she was not bombarding him with direct messages as others thought. She just wanted to express her love for the SEVENTEEN member on a separate platform so as not to bother him like a sasaeng fan would. She even admitted that she fully expected Wonwoo to unfollow her eventually.

Wonwoo clarified things on Weverse

Sure enough, that was exactly what happened when Wonwoo realized his mistake. Seeing that other CARATs had been posting about the incident on the fan community platform Weverse, he logged into his own account to clarify things. He said that he had been trying to upload a picture but accidentally pressed the wrong button, ending up following someone he didn’t mean to follow. He also asked fans not to leave comments on his film account.

Even after Wonwoo removed her from his following list, the lucky Filo CARAT didn’t love him any less. In fact, what happened is now one of her core memories—that for one moment, she was “closer” to the rapper than any other fan, thanks to the power of social media. Although her fever dream is now over, she’s still as committed to supporting Wonwoo and his bandmates as ever.

In other news, Hanteo Chart announced the first weekly chart of July 2024 on the morning of July 8. According to the results, JEONGHAN X WONWOO took the top spot on the Weekly Certification Chart. Their first single, “THIS MAN,” recorded the highest number of official certifications for the week, particularly in the China (Hong Kong) region. – K-Pop News Writer

DJ Yesong Sentenced to 10 Years After Drunk Driving Incident

DJ Yesong, formerly known as a member of K-Pop group INSTAR, has been sentenced to 10 years in prison following a fatal drunk driving incident. Her real name has not been disclosed due to privacy laws.

After her time with INSTAR, she transitioned into a DJ. However, her life took a tragic turn when she struck and killed a deliveryman while driving under the influence of alcohol.

DJ Yesong receives a decade-long prison sentence following a fatal drunk driving incident

Court proceedings revealed that after the accident, Yesong failed to take appropriate actions, such as calling emergency services or staying at the scene to cooperate with authorities. Instead, she asked bystanders if she appeared intoxicated and attempted to settle the matter by offering compensation to the victim’s family, which was declined.

The judge emphasized the seriousness of Yesong’s actions and their impact on the victim’s family during sentencing. “She testified that after the accident, she asked people if she looked drunk. She didn’t try to salvage the situation, didn’t call the police, and left the scene without any explanation. Defendant offered ₩5.00 million KRW (about $3,610 USD) to the victim to settle, but it was refused. The defendant then submitted a request for leniency with the victim’s family, but the court took into account the fact that the victim had died and could not relay his wishes.”

Prosecutors initially sought a 15-year prison term for Yesong, emphasizing the need for deterrence against drunk driving. Despite her plea for leniency and expressions of remorse towards the victim’s family, the court concluded that the gravity of the offense warranted a substantial prison sentence.

This case has sparked renewed discussions about the dangers of drunk driving in South Korea, where road safety remains a critical concern. The sentencing of a former idol has also prompted reflection on the responsibilities of public figures and the consequences of their actions.
