BIGHIT Music unveiled on Tuesday, August 8, the first teaser for V’s upcoming solo album titled Layover, which will be released on September 8.

Additionally, the agency released a notice on Weverse about the album’s track list.
“Slow Dancing,” which is described as “’70s romantic soul style track,” will serve as the album’s title song.
Other songs included in the album are “Blue,” “Love Me Again,” “For Us,” and “Rainy Days.” The album will also include a piano version of “Slow Dancing” as a bonus track.
All five songs will also have their own music videos.

“V will showcase amazing new performances and make various appearances alongside the album’s release. Please stay tuned and continue to support V as he embarks on his new solo journey,” BIGHIT Music told fans.
The label also recommended the listeners to go through the track “from start to finish” or chronologically “to fully appreciate the album’s flow.”
Layover will be in collaboration with Min Hee Jin, the creative director of NewJeans and CEO of ADOR. She will reportedly lead the overall production, including the music, choreography, design, and promotion.
As to what fans can expect for V’s upcoming release, Min said: “Rather than a familiar style, we placed focus on music that we want to make and music that we can pull off well.”
V’s solo album “Layover” will be released Friday, September 8! It will have five tracks (and a bonus track) and will have a music video for all five tracks.

Meanwhile, V shared that he’s “nervous but happy” about the project. “It’s an album that captures my tastes. There will be abundant spectacles,” he said.
V, whose real name is Kim Taehyung, is the last member of BTS to officially make a solo debut. Since the group took a break in June 2022, the members have been busy working on solo endeavors.
Members Jin and j-hope are currently serving in the military. Meanwhile, SUGA has started his military enlistment process.
While Layover will serve as V’s first solo album, he already released solo songs previously. The list includes “Sweet Night,” “Christmas Tree,” “Singularity” and “Inner Child.”
