NCT Member Doyoung Confirms Solo Comeback with ‘Frosty’ Teasers

NCT’s Doyoung has fans buzzing with excitement as he gears up for his upcoming solo release! At midnight KST on October 28, Doyoung surprised fans with teasers for his new single “Frosty,” scheduled for release on November 6 at 6 p.m. KST.

The solo single marks his return following his successful first studio album ‘Youth’ released in April 2024, and the “Dear Youth” solo concert tour, which kicked off with three sold-out dates in Seoul from May 25 to 27, 2024.

Doyoung Through the Years

Doyoung’s musical journey began in 2015 when he was introduced as a trainee in SM Entertainment’s pre-debut team, SM Rookies. His talent quickly caught the attention of fans, and in April 2016, he made his official debut as a member of NCT’s first rotational unit, NCT U. Known for his strong vocal skills and versatility, Doyoung brought a fresh dynamic to the group’s experimental concept. The following year, in January 2017, he joined NCT 127, the Seoul-based sub-unit known for its powerful performances and distinctive music style, solidifying his presence as a core member of the group.

In April 2023, Doyoung expanded his artistic reach by joining NCT’s new trio sub-unit, NCT DoJaeJung, alongside fellow members Jaehyun and Jungwoo. The sub-unit allows Doyoung to showcase a different side of his artistry, focusing on harmonies and a more mature musical style that highlights his vocal range.

With “Frosty,” fans are eagerly speculating about the song’s style, with the teasers hinting at a cool, introspective vibe that aligns with the season. Given Doyoung’s track record of connecting emotionally with his listeners, “Frosty” is expected to carry the same depth and artistry that have made him a standout performer in the K-pop industry. Fans are marking their calendars for November 6, excited to see the next chapter in Doyoung’s evolving solo career.

WayV Announces 6th EP ‘Frequency’ Pre-Release Track

WayV will be dropping their sixth EP this November. In addition to that, they have revealed the ‘Frequency’ pre-release track, which is set to drop in two weeks. But will the next comeback also feature the return of Winwin?

WayV Teases ‘Frequency’ Pre-Release Track

WayV is set to make an exciting return, officially announcing a November comeback on October 28 at midnight KST. The group plans to kick things off with a pre-release track “HIGH FIVE” set to drop on November 19 KST.

Just a few days later, WayV will release their highly anticipated sixth mini album ‘FREQUENCY’ on November 25 KST, marking another milestone in their impressive career.

Will Winwin Finally Return?

Fans are thrilled by the news but are also curious about whether this comeback will include the return of Winwin, who was notably absent from the group’s previous activities due to other commitments. Earlier, Winwin expressed regret for missing out, even apologizing to fans for his absence from promotions. His unavailability left a significant gap in the group dynamic, as his unique stage presence and charisma are missed by fans and group members alike.

At the end of last year, I got told by the team that we would start preparing a new album in May. So from January to April this year, I participated in the TV series shooting, but the plan to produce the album was suddenly brought forward to the end of March. At that time, I was on the set, shooting my main scene, and I really couldn’t adjust the time to participate in group activities. In order to participate in the new album, I have communicated with the team about various alternatives, but the final result is that it is a pity that I can’t participate in this comeback,” he wrote.

He added, “I want to say sorry to Wayzenni, who are looking forward to our WayV’s comeback. I also wish that WayV’s comeback can achieve good results. I will be here to support everyone.”

While WayV’s comeback announcement didn’t specify WinWin’s involvement, fans are holding out hope that he might rejoin the team for ‘FREQUENCY’. As fans await further updates, there’s growing excitement not only for the new music but also for the possibility of seeing the full group back together on stage.

‘RAP:PUBLIC’ to Remove KOALA’s Footage After Involvement in Fan Assault Incident

TVING’s popular hip-hop survival show “RAP:PUBLIC” has officially announced that footage of KOALA will be removed. The announcement was made following the producer-rapper’s involvement in a recent assault incident involving a young fan of Jessi.

KOALA To Be Removed From New ‘RAP:PUBLIC’ Episodes

On October 25, the show’s representatives stated, “From episode 4 onwards, the footage involving KOALA has been edited out. Future episodes will also be edited accordingly.” This decision underscores the show’s commitment to maintaining a positive viewing experience amid the incident’s controversy.

“RAP:PUBLIC” is a high-stakes hip-hop competition where contestants compete in rap battles, emphasizing both lyrical skill and strategy. KOALA, who has been an active contestant on the 6Block team, was a notable figure on the show. His abrupt exit has stirred discussion among fans, especially given his track record in the industry as a producer. He previously collaborated with major artists, most notably working with Jessi on popular hits such as “What Type of X,” “Cold Blooded,” and “NUNU NANA.”

The controversy surrounding KOALA began on September 29 in Gangnam, Seoul. During this incident, a minor fan of Jessi, known as “A,” requested a photo with the artist. However, rather than a positive interaction, “A” reportedly experienced verbal abuse and physical assault from someone accompanying Jessi. Jessi, who attempted to defuse the situation, soon left the scene and later clarified that she did not know the person responsible for the initial assault.

Further investigation revealed that KOALA was involved as well. CCTV footage showed KOALA threatening the fan, allegedly pushing their stomach and shoving them with his head. This disclosure intensified the backlash, as KOALA’s actions and his professional connection to Jessi added to the case’s gravity.

KOALA’s removal from “RAP:PUBLIC” reflects a swift response from the show, prioritizing viewer comfort and public sentiment. The show’s decision to edit out his appearances marks a significant stance in the industry, underscoring a no-tolerance policy toward misconduct.
