The three artists will serve as co-CEOs of duover, bringing their combined expertise and vision to the forefront of the agency’s operations. Joining them is Hwang Ah Ram, who will take on the role of overall director. Hwang Ah Ram brings valuable experience from her previous work in planning and production at AOMG, ensuring that duover will benefit from strong leadership and strategic planning.
The formation of duover follows the trio’s departure from AOMG earlier this year. Gray and Woo Won Jae parted ways with the label in March, and CODE KUNST left in April. Their decision to start their own agency reflects their shared vision and ambition to create a space where they can fully control their artistic endeavors.
A New Beginning
CODE KUNST, whose real name is Jo Sung-woo, has had a remarkable career in the South Korean music scene. He gained widespread recognition with his second studio album, “Crumple,” in 2015. His talent and unique sound led him to join Highgrnd, under which he released his critically acclaimed third studio album, “Muggles’ Mansion,” in 2017. His move to AOMG in 2018 further elevated his career, allowing him to showcase his skills not only as a musician but also as a mentor and judge on the popular rap competition show “Show Me the Money 777,” where he worked alongside Paloalto.
Gray, known for his smooth production skills and melodic rap style, and Woo Won Jae, recognized for his introspective lyrics and distinctive voice, also bring their own substantial credentials and fanbases to duover. Together, the trio is poised to make significant waves in the industry, leveraging their individual strengths and collaborative synergy.
The establishment of duover represents a bold step forward for Gray, CODE KUNST, and Woo Won Jae. It signifies their dedication to artistic independence and their determination to continue shaping the future of music on their own terms. Fans and industry watchers alike will be eagerly anticipating the new projects and innovations that will emerge from this exciting new agency.
