Lee Jae Wook To Star in New Horror Fantasy Drama

On April 4, media outlets reported the actor’s casting, which was later confirmed by his agency, Log Studio, stating, “It is true that he will be starring in Netflix’s new series ‘Honeycomb Project.’”

The upcoming drama is described as a horror fantasy series that follows the story of Byeon Hyeok Jun, a man in his 30s who takes on a mysterious high-paying part-time job. What initially seems like a golden opportunity quickly spirals into a terrifying chain of unexpected events, promising suspense, psychological intrigue, and eerie twists.

“Honeycomb Project” boasts an impressive creative team. Director Han Jun Hee, widely recognized for his work on “Coin Locker Girl,” the critically acclaimed “D.P.” series, and the action-packed “Weak Hero” series, will serve as the project’s creator. Meanwhile, director Kim Da Min, who directed the indie film “Makgeolli Will Tell You,” will take the directorial lead for the drama.

The series is generating buzz not only for its unique genre blend but also for Lee Jae Wook’s involvement. Known for his versatility in roles across dramas like “Alchemy of Souls,” “Extraordinary You,” and “Search: WWW,” Lee Jae Wook is expected to deliver another compelling performance in this new, darker narrative.

In addition to “Honeycomb Project,” the actor is currently appearing on the tvN variety show “Fresh off the Sea 2,” showing his more relaxed and personal side. Fans can also look forward to seeing him in the upcoming Netflix period romance drama “Dear Hongrang,” scheduled for release later this year.

With a packed slate of high-profile projects, 2025 is shaping up to be a standout year for Lee Jae Wook.
