In a recent, unfortunate turn of events, PLEDIS Entertainment has shed light on the health status of SEVENTEEN‘s overall leader, Choi Seungcheol aka S. Coups. CARATs worldwide are expressing their concern after learning about the severity of his injury.

On August 10, while playing a ball game for a content shoot, S. Coups experienced an unfortunate accident. He jumped, landed badly, and fell to the floor. Immediately recognizing the gravity of the situation, the team rushed him to the nearest medical facility. There, an MRI scan revealed a torn anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) in his left knee, a diagnosis that has left many fans heartbroken.

Currently, S. Coups is receiving essential medical treatments. These treatments are a prerequisite to surgery, which his medical team has deemed necessary. PLEDIS Entertainment promises to keep fans updated on his treatment progression and the subsequent rehabilitation schedule.

However, this injury means a significant change in SEVENTEEN‘s upcoming activities. S. Coups will not be partaking in most of the group’s official events for an undetermined period. Instead, he will channel his energy into a full recovery, after undergoing surgery and rehabilitation. Understandably, many fans were distressed by this news. PLEDIS Entertainment extended its sincere apologies for any anguish this situation may have caused.

How S.Coups is coping

Interestingly, despite the setback, S. Coups remains dedicated to his fans and members. He wants to find ways to attend SEVENTEEN‘s pre-scheduled events. Yet, his involvement will be contingent on his health and his medical team’s advice. The priority is clear: his swift and complete recovery.

After word of his injury was made public, he took to Weverse to reassure CARATs.

His members left comments on his post, and he replied to some of them.

While this is a challenging time for S. Coups and his fans, the support pouring in are heartwarming. PLEDIS Entertainment is committed to assisting S. Coups throughout his recovery to ensure he can return to optimal health. Fans worldwide eagerly await that day. – K-Pop News Writer
