SEVENTEEN’s S.Coups, Epik High’s Tukutz, Younha, Lee Mujin, and other talented artists have been officially promoted to full members of the Korea Music Copyright Association (KOMCA), a recognition of their contributions to the music industry!

SEVENTEEN Leader S.Coups, Lee Mujin, and More Promoted to KOMCA Full Member

On January 24, KOMCA announced its annual list of composers and lyricists who have been selected for promotion. While anyone holding music copyrights can join KOMCA as a junior member, only 30 junior members are chosen each year by the board of directors to be elevated to the prestigious status of full member. This promotion is highly coveted, as it acknowledges significant contributions to music creation and copyright ownership.

This year’s list of full-member promotions includes not only SEVENTEEN’s leader S.Coups and Epik High’s DJ Tukutz but also celebrated artists and producers such as Younha, Lee Mujin, The Quiett, and MayBee. Additionally, Lee Hwimin, one-half of the renowned producing duo GroovyRoom, The Classic’s Park Yong Joon, Park Yong Jin, and trot singer Park Sang Chul have also been honored.

Becoming a full member of KOMCA is a significant milestone for artists and creators in South Korea’s music industry, as it reflects their influence and success in songwriting and composition. Full members also enjoy additional voting rights within the organization, allowing them to play a more active role in shaping the future of music copyright policies.

Fans and industry professionals alike have also celebrated the recognition of these accomplished artists. S.Coups, known for his leadership and contributions to SEVENTEEN’s music, and Tukutz, also celebrated for his work as part of Epik High, represent the broad spectrum of talent being honored this year.

Congratulations to all the newly promoted KOMCA members for this well-deserved achievement! Their dedication to music continues to inspire fans and fellow creators worldwide.
