Single in Seoul, starring Lee Dong Wook and Im Soo Jung, recently held a press and distribution screening at Lotte Cinema near Konkuk University, drawing significant attention with the presence of director Park Beom Soo and the star-studded cast.
The film tells the story of Yeong Ho, an influencer who enjoys solitude, and Hyun Jin, a publishing editor who dislikes being alone. Lee Dong Wook and Im Soo Jung bring these characters to life. They skillfully portray their contrasting attitudes towards single life and the romantic connection they form while collaborating on a book about being single.
Im Soo Jung, reflecting on her role, said she appreciated the script and the opportunity to work with a great team. “I haven’t appeared in many romance films, but I think they’re special. They’re easy for audiences to approach and watch, but as an actor, it’s important to portray rich emotions and relatable everyday experiences. Lee Dong Wook also praised his co-star. “The chemistry with Im Soo Jung was beyond words. I felt regret when I made a special appearance in her drama. I wanted to work with her because our vibe was good, and I’m glad that the opportunity came quickly with Single in Seoul. Im Soo Jung is an actor with incredible detail.
