On January 23, the agency issued an official statement confirming that criminal complaints have already been filed to address ongoing defamation. They emphasized that such malicious activities have caused significant emotional distress to Hyeri, and they will continue to monitor and take strict legal measures without leniency against similar actions in the future.
“Our company has been closely monitoring acts of defamation, sexual harassment, insults, and the spread of malicious false information [targeting Hyeri] online,” the statement read. “Around October of last year, we determined that these criminal activities could no longer be overlooked and filed criminal complaints against dozens of individuals based on the evidence we collected.”
“Currently, investigative authorities are actively looking into the cases we reported,” it continued. “We will continue to monitor the situation and take legal action against any criminal acts targeting our artist.”
Sublime Artist Agency also expressed gratitude to fans for their support and requested their cooperation in reporting harmful content to protect their artists.

Based on a popular webtoon, the mystery-thriller unfolds at Chaehwa Girls’ High School, an elite institution known for its cutthroat academic competition. Hyeri will portray a key figure whose life intersects with Woo Seul Gi (played by Jung Soo Bin), a transfer student drawn into the hidden ambitions of her classmates and the mystery surrounding her father’s death—a former college entrance exam question setter.
