Moon Sua and Suhyeon Return to Billlie After Health-Related Hiatus

Moon Sua and Suhyeon of the K-pop group Billlie are officially returning to work after taking a break due to health issues. Mystic Story, their management company, shared this positive development with fans through a heartfelt announcement on the group’s fan club website.

The agency expressed gratitude for the concern and unwavering support fans showed while the girls were away. “Both took a hiatus due to health issues, but after extensive rest and stabilization, their condition has greatly improved,” the company wrote. Mystic Story added that they made the decision to bring the girls back considering their condition and the advice of their doctors.

Moon Sua took to Weverse on Friday to update fans. She opened up about how she spent her break engaging in activities that brought her joy and comforted her, like traveling, spending time with friends, enjoying good food, and staying active. “I would think of Belllie’ve”—Billlie’s fans—”from time to time after looking at pretty things. I decided to return as a stronger person” she wrote.

Billlie will be a full group again

She first went on hiatus in April 2023 after the untimely passing of her brother, ASTRO’s Moonbin. When he was laid to rest, Moon Sua put on a brave face and returned to work. But she crumbled and went on hiatus again in September because losing her oppa took a major toll on her. Thankfully, the surviving ASTRO members—namely Cha Eun-woo, JinJin, and Sanha—rallied around her. In October 2023, Eun-woo posted photos from a trip they took together. The photos showed all four of them, including Moon Sua, in high spirits, which elicited positive reactions from fans.

Meanwhile, Suhyeon is making her comeback after a 10-month hiatus, which began in June due to health issues. Her return is eagerly anticipated by fans, who have missed seeing her in the group. As both she and Moon Sua join the other members, Billlie and Mystic Story emphasize that the safety and well-being of their artists will continue to be a priority.

Billlie will be a full group again at Billlie The First Fan-Con ‘Your B, I’m B (Belllie’ve You), which is set for May 5, 2024 at Myunghwa Live Hall. – K-Pop News Writer

Billlie’s Moon Sua Takes Hiatus Due to Health Concerns

Moon Sua of K-pop girl group BILLLIE will be taking a break from her scheduled individual and group activities due to health reasons.

On Tuesday, September 12, Billie’s agency Mystic Story released a statement about the idol’s condition.

According to the label, Moon Sua needs “sufficient rest and stability for the time being.” However, Mystic Story didn’t provide additional details about the artist’s welfare.

Then, the agency apologized to fans for the inconvenience caused by the sudden news. They also assured fans that they’re doing their best to help their artists improve their well-being.

With the recent hiatus announcement, Mystic Story shared that BILLLIE will continue promotions as a five-member group for the time being. Only Haram, Haruna, Sheon, Siyoon, and Tsuki will participate in the group’s activities.

Additionally, Moon Sua’s hiatus came two months after fellow BILLLIE member Suhyeon announced her own hiatus. Suhyeon also halted activities to focus on recovery.

Fans show support for Moon Sua

This isn’t the first time for Moon Sua to take a break from activities in 2023.

Following the passing of her older brother, ASTRO’s Moon Bin in April, she also halted her activities as she was the chief mourner at the time. Her group, BILLIE, also canceled all of their activities for that week before Mystic Story announced that the group’s comeback promotions had been cut short and their upcoming schedules will push through without Moon Sua.

During her earlier hiatus, she was absent on the group’s promotions for the album the Billage of perception: chapter three, as well as the group’s Japanese debut.

In June, she resumed her activities and returned to host Show Champion.

With the announcement of her second hiatus for this year, fans took to social media to show their support for Moon SuaMost of the replies and comments were the fans’ telling the idol to “get well soon,” and  “come back stronger.”

BILLLIE’s Suhyeon Temporarily Suspends Activities Due To Health Concerns

Suhyeon is taking a break to focus on her health. The BILLLIE member is halting all activities to deal with health concerns.

Mystic Story shared a statement to the BILLLIE fan café addressing Suhyeon’s health concerns. “Our agency artist Billlie’s Suhyeon has halted her activities for health reasons,” the statement announced.

“Following an expert’s opinion that she needs rest, we’ve decided to temporarily suspend her activities for the recovery of her health,” it continued.

The agency also assured fans that Suhyeon’s recovery is their top priority.

We will do our best for Suhyeon’s treatment and quick recovery, and do everything we can for the health and safety of our artists in the future too. We apologize for causing concern to fans with this sudden news and ask for your support for Suhyeon’s quick recovery,” it concluded.

Suhyeon is not the only member of BILLLIE who had to take a break in the past few months. Moon Sua had been on temporary hiatus following the passing of her brother Moonbin. The rapper had served as chief mourner at the late ASTRO member’s funeral. Moreover, Sua has been inactive since the latter half of April.

However, Moon Sua is finally becoming more active. She recently posted a video of herself and her brother on Moonbin’s 49th day since passing.

“As rumored, Mr. Door-Frame-Moon’s backside was as broad as a door frame and warm,” Sua wrote. “I should’ve climbed on it some more when I had the chance.”

“Next time I see you, give me more rides,” she continued. “My dearest, one and only brother. Still, always, and forever, I’ll love you on and on. Don’t be sick, be healthy, eat your meals, and be happy.”

Suhyeon’s sudden break also coincides with Moon Sua’s return to group activities. Hopefully, BILLLIE will soon have all members active.

BILLLIE’s Sua Breaks Silence on Late Brother Moonbin’s Passing

Moon Sua has finally broken her silence. The BILLLIE rapper has shared a new post on social media more than a month after her brother’s passing. Sua’s latest post pays tribute to the late ASTRO member Moonbin on his 49th day of passing.

Moon Sua Breaks Silence on Moonbin’s 49th Day of Passing

Moon Sua has kept her silence since April 20, a day after her brother Moonbin passed away in his home in Gangnam. The BILLLIE member also went into hiatus, choosing not to promote with the rest of the group.

As of June 7, Moon Sua returned to her personal Instagram account. She posted a brief black-and-white video featuring herself and Moon Bin practicing together.

Moon Sua’s post coincides with Moonbin’s 49th day of passing. On the same day, a new memorial space for the “Mermaid Prince” actor was opened at Gukcheongsa Buddhist Temple. Fellow ASTRO members Cha Eun Woo and Sanha were the first to visit the memorial site before it opened at Namhansangseong.

Moonbin’s younger sister had previously left a letter at his memorial space set up in front of the FANTAGIO building.

“Oppa, it’s me, your one and only precious sister Sua,” she wrote. “I came to visit (the memorial) too. I cried so much so I’m going to stop crying now. I’ll smile more now. I’m going to do what I want to and be happy. So, I hope you are going to be happy there. Please watch over your sister, if I’m doing well or now.”

Moon Sua served as chief mourner at her brother’s funeral. It has not yet been confirmed whether she will resume activities with BILLLIE.

Moon Sua Will Not Participate In BILLLIE’s Japanese Promotions

Moon Sua continues to be on an indefinite hiatus. The BILLLIE rapper will not participate in the group’s Japanese promotions this month.

BILLLIE’s Agency Announces Moon Sua’s Absence in Upcoming Promotions

Mystic Story issued a statement confirming Moon Sua’s absence in BILLLIE’s upcoming promotions.

“We are announcing that Moon Sua will not participate in the scheduled Japanese album promotions with the May 17 release of the Japanese debut album as the starting point,” the statement read.

“The promotion schedules will run with six members Haram, Haruna, Sheon, Siyoon, Suhyeon, and Tsuki,” it continued.

The announcement comes only weeks after Mystic Story confirmed that Moon Sua is taking time off from BILLLIE following the death of her brother.

On April 19, Sua’s older brother Moon Bin was found dead in his apartment in Gangnam. The ASTRO singer’s passing shocked the world and proved to be difficult for his younger sister. Sua served as chief mourner at Moonbin’s funeral which was attended by his fellow ASTRO members and close friends.

Moon Sua also penned a heartfelt letter which she left at Moonbin’s memorial space.

Sua continued, “I’ll live diligently for your sake too. Don’t stop me. Still, if things get hard, I’ll come to you to vent out so you have to comfort me. You’ve worked so hard until now. I love you so much and I’ll forever be your younger sister. Moon siblings forever.

For now, it is unclear how long Moon Sua will be on hiatus. Nevertheless, fans understand that the BILLLIE rapper needs time to grieve for her brother. Sua will also require some time for reflection and will hopefully return in the future.

BILLLIE will release their first Japanese single “GingaMingaYo (the strange world) – Japanese ver.” on May 17, 2023.
