Jae Casually Reiterates DAY6 Departure

Jae is keeping his cool despite regular intrusive messages from netizens. Park Jae Hyung has casually reiterated his DAY6 departure.

Jae Speaks Up About DAY6 Departure

In 2022, singer Jae left the group DAY6 and JYP Entertainment. Although the departure was a sad moment for many, fans have supported his move to the U.S. and his burgeoning solo career.

Most fans have shown respect by not demanding answers from him about his departure or his current relationship with former bandmates. However, some have continued to probe into these sensitive areas. Last month, during an interview, Jae was asked if he still kept in contact with the members of DAY6. Although he responded politely, many fans felt the question was intrusive and disrespectful, considering his efforts to move forward in his solo career.

The topic resurfaced recently when Jae’s response to a similar question gained attention online. Despite fans’ hopes that with the release of DAY6’s most recent eighth EP titled ‘Fourever’, people would stop asking Jae about his association with the group, the inquiries persisted. This led Jae to address the matter more directly.

He made a post on X expressing his desire for closure on this issue. His message was clear: he wished for respect and understanding from fans and hoped that this would help everyone move on.

Jae’s journey as a solo artist has been met with enthusiasm and support from his dedicated fanbase. His talent and passion for music continue to shine through in his solo projects, and fans are eager to see what he will achieve next. The continued curiosity about his past, however, highlights the challenge many artists face in separating their solo careers from their history with popular groups.

In addressing these questions openly, Jae has shown maturity and a strong desire to focus on his future endeavors. His candidness and the support from his fans create a positive environment for his growth as an artist.

Wishing Jae all the best on his solo career. May he find success and happiness in his new ventures, and may his fans continue to respect his journey and support his artistic evolution.

DAY6 to Stage Reunion Concert After Finishing Military Enlistment

After completing their mandatory military enlistment, Korean band DAY6 is gearing up for a special year-end reunion concert.

According to agency JYP Entertainment, DAY6 will be staging three solo concerts in December. Titled The Present: You are My Day, the concerts are scheduled to take place at Korea University’s Hwajeong Gymnasium in Seongbuk District, northern Seoul, on December 22, 23, and 24.

This upcoming concert holds great significance as it marks the first time for the band to perform together since December 2019. For the past four years, the members have embarked on their respective military service obligations, with Wonpil being the last to be discharged.

During their time away from the stage, DAY6′s existing songs, such as “You Were Beautiful” and “Time of Our Life,” experienced a resurgence in popularity, attracting new fans alongside their dedicated existing fanbase.

Moreover, the upcoming concert also promises to showcase live stages that have never been unveiled before. As a result, there are high expectations for the group’s upcoming concert.

DAY6 on their reunion

Between 2019 and 2023, the DAY6 members have finished their individual military services.

In September 2022, leader, vocalist, and guitarist Sungjin completed his enlistment. Meanwhile, vocalist and bassist Young K got discharged in April 2023 and drummer Dowoon finished his duty in July 2023. Lastly, Wonpil, who’s in charge of keyboards and vocals, completed his service in late November. Notably, Wonpil is also known to be the first idol singer to have served in the navy

After his enlistment, the DAY6 members reunited in the Kiss The Radio show. During the live radio broadcast, Wonpil expressed his gratitude to their fans who waited for them for a very long time. “The best we can do to repay you is through a good album and performance. We’re doing our best to achieve that,” he said.

Moreover, the members also got candid about what changed after their enlistment. “I think my personality’s gotten better, not my personality but mindset,” Dowoon said. “After enlisting, I realized that I can actually live the way I want without regrets.”

Debuting under JYP Entertainment, DAY6 is known for their hit songs “Congratulations” and “Zombie” among others. Since Jae left the group in January 2022, the band has been promoting with four members.
