“I was stunned and excited at the same time when I first visited the campus as it was a very new challenge even for me. KAIST is a place full of people who passionately explore their fields.” he said. “I thought that the way the students immersed [in their studies] to an extent that the boundary between academics and daily life is unclear looked similar to myself as a child, who contemplated and explored alone in the practice room.”

G-Dragon also reflected on his journey as an artist and the importance of continuously evolving and pushing boundaries.

“I tend to be curious about a variety of areas rather than just one specific field,” he said. “There is a desire in me, both as a creator and as a human being, to challenge something a little more unfamiliar than something outdated if possible. If the field is not my area of ​​expertise, I am willing to borrow the expertise of others. That way, it is possible to present a higher quality outcome.”
