From vampires to… pokémon trainers?

After stunning ENGENEs with their sexy concept in BITE ME,” the title track of their fourth extended play Dark Blood, K-pop boy group ENHYPEN went for a cuter route in their collaboration with Pokémon.

In the “One and Only” music video released on Wednesday, July 12, ENHYPEN went on a camping trip with  different Pokémons such as Pikachu, Charizard, Piplup, Snorlax, Charmander, Zoroark, and Lucario.

The new single is ENHYPEN’s collaboration with The Pokémon Company for its “Pokémon Music Collective” project. In a press release, the project aims to create music “inspired by the sounds of the Pokémon series video game universe by artists across multiple genres.”

The Pokémon Company has previously collaborated with Katy Perry and Post Malone for the Pokémon 25: The Album, which was released in 2021, as well as Ed Sheeran in 2022 for  Pokémon Scarlet and Violet.

Aside from “One and Only,” ENHYPEN is also reportedly collaborating with the ““Pokémon Music Collective” for the group’s variety show EN O’CLOCK. Other details have yet to be announced.

ENHYPEN’s Jungwon Accidentally References STRAY KIDS’ Changbin

Jungwon is proving yet again that he is a funny guy. The ENHYPEN leader made a joke in a recent interview that had everyone laughing. After all, it was an unintentional reference to fellow funny guy STRAY KIDS rapper Changbin.

ENHYPEN Leader Jungwon Unintentionally Channels STRAY KIDS’ Changbin In Latest Interview

Yang Jungwon recently joined fellow ENHYPEN members Heeseung and Sunghoon as guests in “The K-Star Next Door”. During the interview, the idols were clearly at ease while talking to host Jonathan.

Interestingly, Jungwon may have been a little too comfortable about being on the show. When his mic needed to be fixed, the ENHYPEN leader declared, “I need to go to the bathroom.”

The statement itself was hilarious enough for everyone but it also brought back memories for Jonathan. The host immediately remembered STRAY KIDS’ Changbin saying the same thing during their interview.

Luckily, Jonathan didn’t miss a beat. He had an equally hilarious solution for ENHYPEN’s problem. “Let’s put on diapers from now on. You need to tell them when you cast them,” the host told the staff, making the idols laugh.

The bathroom situation got funnier when Jungwon, Heeseung, and Sunghoon all left the set to head for the restroom. The same thing happened to Jonathan when he interviewed STRAY KIDS and he was left alone on the set.

ENHYPEN Finds Their Eighth Member

The exchanges between the ENHYPEN members and the host of “The K-Star Next Door” were funny and relatable. Sunghoon felt so comfortable talking to the host that he suggested Jonathan should be ENHYPEN’s eighth member.

ENHYPEN’s agency Belift Lab recently confirmed that the idol group will have their next comeback in May. The concept trailer for the comeback was released today.

Heeseung, Jay, Jake, Sunghoon, Sunoo, Jungwon, and Ni-ki will release their fourth EP ‘Dark Blood’ on May 22, 2023.

ENHYPEN Jokingly Adds An 8th Member

ENHYPEN just found its eighth member! Heesung, Sunghoon, and Jungwon have all agreed that the idol group should start promoting with the eighth member they discovered.

Heesung, Sunghoon, and Jungwon Declare ENHYPEN’s Newest Member

ENHYPEN’s Heesung, Sunghoon, and Jungwon recently appeared as guests on “The K-Star Next Door”. The members immediately bonded with host Jonathan and repeatedly praised him for his hosting skills.

At the end of the interview, Sunghoon continued praising Jonathan for being “very friendly” and making them feel welcome. Heesung agreed by saying, “I feel connected” to the host. That’s when Sunghoon told Jonathan, “You’re ENHYPEN,” and Heesung quickly agreed.

Jonathan’s excitement over the statement was clear. “Can I be the new member?” he asked as the idols laughed. Heesung jokingly made it official by calling him, “Jonathan of ENHYPEN.”

Jonathan quickly got to know what it is like to be a member of the group. He joined Heesung, Sunghoon, and Jungwon as they performed ENHYPEN’s “Polaroid Love”. The host sang a few lines with Sunghoon and Jungwon. He also had the awesome privilege of having Heesung sing to him directly and had ENGENEs wishing they were in his shoes.

For now, ENHYPEN is still a seven-member group with Jungwon, Heeseung, Jay, Jake, Sunghoon, Sunoo, and Ni-ki. However, Heesung, Sunghoon, and Jungwon already have an ideal candidate if the group decides to add a new member. In the meantime, the group is preparing for their May comeback and several major promotions.
