Prior to the release of “Miracle,” the agency’s founder Park Jin Young coined the group name which he explained to be the Next Z (Generation), who will lead the K-Pop scene in the future. According to the agency, it was also JYP himself who wrote the song after getting inspiration from the growth of participants and the dreams they had in common.

Stray Kids Felix Has Sad Reaction To Being ‘Disrespected’ During Fan Call

Fan calls have been a great way to interact with idols, especially for admirers who live in a different country. Unfortunately, not all fan calls are a great experience for the celebrity. Stray Kids member Felix was recently disrespected during a fan call and his sad reaction had STAYs up in arms.

Stray Kids Member Felix’s Sad Reaction to Disrespectful Fan Call

A recent fan call with Stray Kids’ Felix gained attention and sparked discussions about the need for better safeguards during virtual interactions between idols and fans. In a TikTok clip that has since been taken down, the fan told Felix that they needed to apologize to him because he used to be their bias, but they now favored another member. Felix, maintaining professionalism, responded with a smile, stating that he was used to being “cheated” on.

This incident is part of a broader issue where fan call winners misuse their opportunity to communicate with idols, exhibiting disrespectful or inappropriate behavior. In some cases, the artists’ staff members have had to intervene and prematurely end the call, but by then, the damage is already done.

Since the fan call, the Stray Kids fans reacted strongly, expressing their support for Felix and trending hashtags such as “JYPE PROTECT FELIX” and “RESPECT_FELIX.” STAYs are calling for JYP Entertainment, the agency representing Stray Kids, to implement more proactive measures to ensure the safety and well-being of their artists during virtual interactions.

The incident highlights the vulnerability of idols in these fan call scenarios and the need for enhanced security measures to prevent disrespectful or hurtful interactions. Fans are hopeful that future virtual events will include mechanisms to create a safer space for idols, protecting them from potentially distressing situations.

As virtual fan interactions become more prevalent, agencies may need to prioritize the mental well-being of their artists by implementing stricter guidelines and monitoring during these events. Establishing clear rules and consequences for inappropriate behavior can help create a more respectful and enjoyable experience for both idols and fans.

J.Y. Park Seemingly Shades GOT7 After JYPE Departure

J.Y. Park recently shared his sentiments about GOT7 after their JYPE departure in 2021. Interestingly Jinyoung Park opened up about his thoughts on the group’s potential and their time under the company. However, many viewed his comments as being negative towards the boy group.

J.Y. Park Shares Thoughts on GOT7’s JYPE Departure

J.Y. Park recently appeared on GOT7 member BamBam’s “Bam House” program, where the two artists engaged in a conversation about their past association. Towards the end of the episode, BamBam posed a final question, asking J.Y. Park, “What kind of singer was GOT7 to you?” In response, J.Y. Park expressed that he believed the group had yet to reveal their full potential to the public.

While acknowledging that GOT7 had performed well, J.Y. Park stated, “Compared to what you guys have, I’m still not satisfied.” He went on to suggest that he believed the group had “more special things” to showcase.

While this statement might be interpreted as J.Y. Park expressing that he sees untapped potential in the group, it stirred mixed reactions among fans. Some fans appreciated the encouragement, interpreting it as a belief in the group’s capabilities. However, others, given the past grievances and criticisms directed at JYP and J.Y. Park, found the comment somewhat unsatisfactory, questioning the extent to which the group’s potential may have been constrained under the company.

The statement serves as a reflection of the complex dynamics between artists and their management in the K-pop industry, where fans closely scrutinize the interactions and comments made by both parties. GOT7’s journey post-JYP continues to be closely followed by their dedicated fanbase AHGASEs who are eager to see the group flourish in new endeavors while reflecting on their experiences under JYP Entertainment.

GOT7, originally debuting under JYP Entertainment in 2014, chose to part ways with the company in 2021 as their contracts expired. The JYPE departure marked a significant moment for the group, who continued their journey together, even releasing an album and navigating individual pursuits as members began their military enlistments.

Towards the end of their tenure at JYP, fans expressed various grievances, including concerns about mismanagement of schedules, both in Korea and internationally, a perceived lack of social media engagement, and the company’s handling of stalker fan situations. Some fans also attributed certain issues to J.Y. Park, who played a role in the group’s formation and music production.

Twice’s Nayeon Wins Lawsuit Against Mother’s Ex-lover; Jyp to Pursue Defamation Case

Nayeon of K-pop girl group TWICE has won a monetary lawsuit against her mother’s past lover. In response to the controversy, JYP Entertainment vows to  take action against the defamation that their artist has received.

News about the court ruling in favor of Nayeon has been confirmed by her agency on Tuesday, September 19.

According to reports by Korean media, the TWICE singer has been embroiled in a lawsuit against her mother’s ex-boyfriend since January 2022. Moreover, her mother’s ex claimed that Nayeon failed to pay the loan that he allegedly let them borrow before she made her debut as a K-pop idol.

TWICE’s Nayeon vs Mr. A

Referred to as Mr. A, the ex-boyfriend of Nayeon’s mother, claimed a loan repayment of 600 million won. Based on the reports, the said amount was allegedly Mr. A’s expenses for their basic necessities. Such amount reportedly includes their monthly rent, loans, and even Nayeon’s tuition fees in a span of over 12 years— from 2004 to 2016.

During the trial, Mr. A narrated that the loan was done through the request of Nayeon‘s mother. “I lent necessary funds such as living expenses. They promised to pay back the money when Nayeon, who was a trainee, debuted as a singer. But Nayeon broke her promise.”

However, the claimant lost in the legal proceedings due to insufficient evidence. The court refused to acknowledge that the amount Nayeon and her mother received was “borrowed.”

Moreover, court readings stated that there is no evidence to recognize it as a loan. Thus, Nayeon and her mother are not obligated to repay it. “Given the number, period, amount, and circumstances of the money transactions, it is difficult to say that A and Nayeon agreed to return it,” the court continued

As per reports, Mr. A has not appealed after losing the first trial.

JYP Entertainment, fans react

As for the court’s ruling, JYP Entertainment assured fans that the decision has been “finalized and concluded.” “So we have nothing to say since it has no bearing on the artist’s entertainment pursuits,” the agency told Korean media.

With the legal battle now over, JYP Entertainment assured the fans that they will take legal action for acts of defamation against their artists.

“We will take firm legal action against the matter of defaming the artist’s reputation or insulting the artist through speculative writing going forward.” they said.

Following the news, netizens shared their different opinions on the controversy. Many are in agreement with the court’s ruling, saying that Mr. A just wanted to get money from Nayeon and her mother. While others think it’s a hater’s attempt to ruin Nayeon’s career.

The 27-year-old singer debuted in October 2015 as a member of TWICE. In July 2022, she released her solo album IM NAYEON with the hit title track “Pop!”

Since then, Lia posted a heartfelt message for her fans. In the letter posted on ITZY’s official Instagram account, she expressed her concern for MIDZYs.

Lia then reflected on her career before pointing out that she needs time for herself. “Of course, those times must also be filled with our memories and happy moments we spent together.
