Hwasa Shares Unusual Preparations For 30th Birthday

Hwasa is turning 30 next year and it looks like the MAMAMOO member has interesting plans for her birthday. The “I Love My Body” singer discussed her unusual preparations for the major milestone and it involves having a little fun!

Hwasa Opens Up About How She Is Preparing For Her 30th Birthday

The MAMAMOO member was recently a guests on Shin Dong Yup‘s YouTube series, “Jjan Han Hyung”. In the episode titled “Magic Eye: ‘Is this an apple?’ – EP.06”, Hwasa enjoyed a few drinks with the host. Although she is her group’s maknae, the idol admitted that she is getting older and is concerned that she didn’t get to do what she wanted to during her twenties.

“I’m 29 this year, and as I rang in New Year’s, I found myself filled with regret. I felt like I didn’t have much fun in my twenties. So, I embraced alcohol for about a month,” Hwasa said.

It’s an interesting way to celebrate or make the most of her final year before entering the big thirties. Nevertheless, these unusual preparations were not a huge surprise for her fans who are aware of Hwasa’s easygoing ways. With that in mind, the MAMAMOO member is clearly getting ready to face a major milestone in her life.

Although it sounded like the idol had a lot of fun to fully enjoy her final year in her twenties, Hwasa confirmed that it had some consequences. “Because of my constant drinking for a whole month, my face got swollen, terribly swollen,” she said.

Interestingly, Hwasa had gone through a lot before the end of her twenties. She had decided not to renew her contract with RBW Entertainment but will still promote as part of MAMAMOO. Hwasa then signed with P Nation and released the solo track “I Love My Body” which celebrates body positivity.
