Jihoon Sits Out TWS’ Keimyung University Festival Performance
On September 26, PLEDIS Entertainment released a statement confirming that TWS member Jihoon will be unable to participate in an upcoming event due to health concerns.
“TWS member Jihoon recently felt discomfort in his right knee and sought medical attention,” the statement read. “He received advice from the medical team to minimize strenuous movement for the time being.”
“As a result, Jihoon will not be participating in the Keimyung University Festival scheduled for tomorrow (Friday, September 27). We kindly ask for the understanding of Keimyung University students and fans,” it added.
The agency also emphasized that Jihoon’s absence is necessary for his full recovery, though they did not specify the nature of his condition. Fans have expressed concern, but PLEDIS reassured them that Jihoon is receiving the necessary care.
TWS, a six-member boy group formed by PLEDIS Entertainment, debuted earlier in 2024 with a splash, quickly gaining international recognition. Their debut mini-album ‘Sparkling Blue’, along with the title track “Plot Twist”, catapulted them into the spotlight, becoming million-sellers and placing them among the most promising rookie groups of the year.
Jihoon has been an integral part of TWS since its formation, contributing to the group’s energetic performances and growing fanbase. His absence from the event is expected to be temporary, and fans are also wishing him a quick recovery. The group’s other members—Shinyu, Dohoon, Youngjae, Hanjin, and Kyungmin—will continue their promotional activities in the meantime, while awaiting Jihoon’s return to the stage.
Fans are united in supporting Jihoon during this time, also hoping to see him back in good health soon.
