Gong Yoo Drama Starring Song Hye Kyo Unveils New Title, Main Cast

“Show Business” (working title, formerly known as “Slowly but Intensely”) is an upcoming drama that brings together an impressive cast including Song Hye Kyo, Gong Yoo, Seolhyun, Cha Seung Won, and Lee Ha Nee.

Created by renowned writer Noh Hee Kyung—whose previous works such as “It’s Okay, That’s Love,” “That Winter, The Wind Blows,” and “Our Blues” have captured audiences—the drama promises a rich, realistic portrayal of the entertainment industry. Set against the evocative backdrops of the 1960s and 1980s, the narrative delves into the lives of individuals from modest beginnings who dream big and relentlessly pursue success despite overwhelming odds.

Song Hye Kyo leads the series as Min Ja, a resilient woman whose difficult childhood forged her determination to overcome life’s adversities. Her journey from surviving harsh realities to taking a daring plunge into South Korea’s burgeoning music scene is both inspiring and poignant.

Alongside her, Gong Yoo portrays Dong Gu, Min Ja’s childhood friend who, despite his unpredictable nature, remains her staunch ally. His unwavering loyalty and support play a crucial role as he navigates the complexities of the industry with her.
