Mark your calendars because MAMAMOO’s Hwasa is finally making her first solo comeback in almost two years!

On Tuesday, August 29, the singer announced that she’ll be releasing the digital single “I Love My Body” on September 6.

In the teaser photos, Hwasa looked alluring in a pink ensemble with her hair styled as in a pinup. Interestingly, she’s posing against a backdrop of vibrant pink bubble letters.

Although additional details about the release have yet to be disclosed, fans are already anticipating the song will be on a more sultry vibe, as based on its concept photos.

Moreover, the upcoming digital single would serve as Hwasa’s first release under her new agency P NATION.

It was in June when Hwasa left RBW, the agency who formed K-pop girl group MAMAMOO. In July, she signed with P NATION, the agency established by PSY.

Other artists under P NATION include Crush, Heize, Penomeco, Swings, and group The New Six (TNX).

Hwasa as an artist

Hwasa made her debut in June 2014 as a member of the quarter MAMAMOO.

As a soloist, she debuted in February 2019 with the song “Twit.” In June 2020, she released her solo debut EP Maria and the single album Guilty Pleasure in November 2021.

Outside of being an idol, Hwasa also showcased her wit and charms. She appeared in several variety shows such as HwaSa Show, I Live Alone, and Dancing Queens on the Road.

Additionally, she’s the second member to leave RBW, following Wheein who left in 2021. Only Moonbyul and Solar remain with RBW, but the group assured fans that they’ll continue activities as MAMAMOO.

In fact, the group released their compilation album I SAY MAMAMOO: THE BEST in 2021 and their 12th mini-album Mic On in November 2022.

The group also embarked on their MY CON world concert tour.
