SEVENTEEN made a historic appearance at the 13th UNESCO Youth Forum in Paris, delivering an inspiring message of unity and optimism. This marked the first time a K-pop act addressed an entire session at a significant UNESCO event. However, their overall leader S.Coups wasn’t with them, due to an injury that has kept him from participating in their activities.

S.Coups goes live

While his members were in Paris, S.Coups shared supportive messages on the fan community platform Weverse and connected with fans live. He expressed his feelings of being homebound and the importance of mental health in recovery. “I feel like I haven’t been showing my face as much lately, so I turned this on. Being at home all the time makes me feel so stuffy. I sleep so much lately; it’s all I do. I know the thought of me traveling will make you worried, but I really believe mental health is just as important as physical health. I believe if your mind is healthy, then you can physically recover quicker too,” he shared.

S.Coups said he’s thinking about joining the group’s dome tour in his own way. “I thought I’d be going on the dome tour, so my dad got tickets for the Fukuoka show. So I feel like I can travel with him to at least one city, but I didn’t say anything in case he’ll look forward to it. I don’t think I’ve traveled with my dad before, so I’m thinking of taking him around and going to nice places.”

He updated fans about his solo work and his recovery progress. “I’m alone at the Universe Factory. The guys are at practice right now. I wanted to see them too, so I came, and I need to record for my solo. I haven’t been able to record because Bumzu hyung was busy. I’m just doing the solo for my own satisfaction!”

Excitement and worry

He added, “I haven’t recorded yet; I need to do it now, I just exercised and got back. Rehab is going well, I think I’m recovering faster than others. I don’t limp anymore, but I am worried about the future when I have to dance. I think full recovery will take a while though. I’m thinking of taking my rehab coach to travel with me. I’ll convince him to come with me and help me.”

S.Coups also expressed his excitement for Dino‘s upcoming solo release. “Dino‘s solo is dropping soon and it’s gonna be so cool. I watched on the monitor when he was filming and it looks like it’ll come out really cool. When did our maknae get so big? Please support his solo a lot! He’s so busy, but worked hard to prepare. I saw it on the monitor when he was filming it and it was really good.”

The possibility of S.Coups joining the tour, even as a spectator, has sparked excitement among fans, who eagerly await his full recovery and return to the stage. – K-Pop News Writer
