Jay Park Shares Initial Worries About GOT7’s Jay B and Yugyeom

GOT7 members Jay B and Yugyeom have found new companies after their departure from JYP Entertainment. However, Jay Park admits he was initially uncertain about accepting the two idols into H1GHR Music and AOMG, respectively.

Jay Park Reveals True Feelings About Working With GOT7’s Jay B and Yugyeom

Jay Park had previously spoken to Jay B in a special video shared on the H1GHR Music YouTube channel. During their conversation, the former 2PM rapper admitted to the GOT7 leader that he had some concerns about Jay B and Yugyeom joining Park’s labels.

As well as Yugyeom and you, I was slightly worried,” Park said. “If we were to collaborate on music, would it synergize? And can we produce something great?

He added, “So no matter how much you like this style of music and how long it’s been, your main job was being an idol for 7 years. So I thought would we be able to work together.”

Although he was initially unsure, Park claims that Jay B made those worries disappear when they began working together. The “Bestie” rapper explained that he realized things will work out when they worked on Jay B’s solo single “Switch It Up”.

“When you and Cha Cha Malone and I started our first studio session, it was more fun than expected and the songwriting went well. The product also came out great and the vocals were very solid,” Jay Park said.

“The moment I asked for any tweaks or changes, you did it right away,” he continued. “That made it very enjoyable. Your openness and ability to quickly adapt. That impressed me so much.”

Jay B and Yugyeom, as well as the rest of GOT7, left JYP Entertainment in 2021. Jay B signed on to H1GHR Music in May that year and moved to CDNZA Records when his contract expired in 2022.

Yugyeom signed with AOMG in February 2021. His latest single “Ponytail” was released in January 2023.

JESSI Reveals Why She Signed With Jay Park’s MORE VISION

JESSI is opening up about her recent move to Jay Park’s label. The soloist revealed the true reason why she chose to sign with MORE VISION after leaving P Nation.

JESSI Reveals Why She Chose To Sign With Jay Park’s MORE VISION

MORE VISION officially announced JESSI as their new artist earlier in April. The label’s official social media accounts shared new images of the soloist with the founder Jay Park.

Since then, Jessica Ho has participated in several events with MORE VISION artists. She recently appeared in the latest episode of ‘The Season – Jay Park’s Drive’ where she spoke about her career plans. The rapper admitted that she initially wanted to start her own label after leaving P Nation. However, she realized that starting her own company was more difficult than she expected.

“To be honest, I was planning on establishing a company on my own. But it wasn’t easy after trying,” Jessi said.

Ho Hyeonju then pointed out that she felt MORE VISION was the perfect fit since she has several similarities with Jay Park, who founded the label in March last year.

“I have a personality that takes on the challenge to try everything. And I felt like Jay Park and I have that in common. A new start. New artist,” she said.

JESSI has been with Psy’s label P Nation since January 2019. She released several singles and albums under the label. In addition to that, she became a member of the four-member supergroup Refund Sisters which also featured Lee Hyo-ri, Uhm Jung-hwa, and Hwasa. The group released the hit single “Don’t Touch Me” in October 2020.

Jessica Ho left P Nation in July 2022 and signed with MORE VISION nine months later. She has not yet confirmed plans to release new music. Stay tuned for more updates on this story.
