Lee Kwang Soo, EXO’s D.O., Kim Woo Bin, and Kim Ki Bang are set to bring humor and camaraderie to the small screen with their upcoming variety show “You Reap What You Sow.” The show recently unveiled a teaser video and posters, giving fans a glimpse into the quartet’s comedic farm life.

Do Kyungsoo Becomes a Farmer in Delightful New Show

In the teaser, the four friends are seen navigating the challenges of farm life on a vast 500-pyeong (about 17,792 square feet) field. Despite their lack of farming experience, they display lively chemistry and engage in chaotic moments that promise laughter. The teaser includes scenes of their first harvest celebration, farming struggles, and D.O.’s mouth-watering mukbang moments, showcasing their diverse talents.

Two posters were also released, featuring the cast in rural attire and striking hilariously awkward poses. The first poster captures their playful and comical side, while the second poster highlights their genuine smiles against the scenic farm backdrop.

Produced by PD Na Young Suk, “You Reap What You Sow” adopts a lighthearted documentary style as it follows the four stars on their farming adventure in the countryside. With their collective inexperience in farming, viewers can also look forward to a series of humorous mishaps as they tackle the challenge of plowing a small field together.

The show’s tagline, “A Comic Documentary of Real Besties’ Facation (Farming Vacation),” hints at the heartwarming and comedic moments viewers can expect as these close friends embark on a unique farming journey. The show’s premiere is also eagerly anticipated by fans hoping to see the chemistry and camaraderie of Lee Kwang Soo, D.O., Kim Woo Bin, and Kim Ki Bang.

Not surprisingly, EXO-Ls are already hyped up about the idea of seeing D.O. as a farmer. Luckily, fans will finally be able to see it happening next month. “You Reap What You Sow” will premiere on October 13, 2023.

The upcoming variety show of Na Young Seok, aka Na PD, titled You Reap What You Sow (idiomatic translation) will air its first episode on October 13.

tvN confirmed the news to Korean media on Friday, September 15.

According to reports, You Reap What You Sow adopts a lighthearted documentary style. It will follow Kim Woo Bin, EXO’s D.O, Lee Kwang Soo, and Kim Ki Bang in their journey of farming in the countryside.

However, none of the four main cast members have any knowledge and experience in farming. Which is why they naturally struggled with tasks, such as plowing a small field together.

What we know so far about You Reap What You Sow

In July, rumors that Na PD is helming a new series circulated online. Videos of the four cast members filming in Gangwon and Seoul also circulated online. At the time, the producers remained tight-lipped about the series.

Now, tvN even shared a photo of Woo Bin, D.O, Kwang Soo, and Ki Bang posing together while in farming attire.

Additionally, the show will reportedly have 10 episodes and a broadcast time of 110 minutes.

In You Reap What You Sow, variety veteran Kwang Soo will serve as the group’s leader. Not only will he showcase his humor, but his problem-solving skills.

Meanwhile, Ki Bang is described as a “natural-born farmer.” Out of the four, he was the most reliable in doing farming tasks.

As for D.O, the youngest member, he’ll use his wit and cooking skills throughout the show.

Interestingly, You Reap What You Sow will serve as Woo Bin’s first variety show as a regular cast member. Which is why fans of the actor are looking forward to seeing a more fun side of him.

Na PD’s other projects

Aside from the cast members, fans are anticipating this new show helmed by Na PD.

A known figure in South Korean entertainment, he was the one behind successful variety programs such as 2 Days & 1 Night, Grandpas Over Flowers, New Journey to the West, and Three Meals a Day.

One of his latest projects is The Game Caterers, which features various K-pop idols. Some of the groups who guested on his show include BTS, SEVENTEEN, SNSD, artists from HYBE LABELS and Starship Entertainment.

Kim Woo Bin Pays Tribute to Departed Fan

Aside from his versatility in acting, South Korean actor Kim Woo Bin has also proven how heartwarming as a person he is.

On Sunday, August 27, he veered away from his usual updates about his acting projects to pen a tribute to a departed fan.

He shared a photo from an airplane window, as well as a picture of a letter from his fan. In the caption, Woo Bin mourned the passing of Ji Won, one of the owners of his fansites.

According to the actor’s post, he just attended her funeral. And it was in that moment that he realized the lengths she went through just to show her support for him.

“Now, I finally understand how far and long the trip must have been each time you came to see me for all those years,” a translation of Woo Bin’s post read.

Moreover, the artist recalled his fond memories with her. “Whenever I’m reminded of your face with a big smile and asking how I’ve been, my heart breaks all over again. I don’t think this is goodbye forever, Ji Won.”

“Wherever you are, I wish you the happiest and the healthiest days. I hope you get to laugh everyday until we meet again,” he added.

Next, Woo Bin also disclosed how thankful he is to have a dedicated and supportive fan like Ji Won. In the future, the actor said that he’ll remember her in his upcoming works.

“I’ll keep you in my thoughts when I work on the shows that you’ve been looking forward to. You’ll give me the strength to go on, so please keep looking over me,” he said. “I promise we’ll meet again someday.”

Ji Wons family reacts

Woo Bin’s heartwarming tribute didn’t go unnoticed by Ji Won’s family.

In the comments section, the fan’s younger sister Ji Su revealed that the actor also sent flowers and condolence money aside from going to the funeral.

“To have you come to the funeral was the sincerest condolence you could’ve paid for us. My parents and I all found the strength to go on, thanks to you,” she told Woo Bin.

Additionally, Ji Su wrote that her departed sister must have appreciated having the actor in her funeral despite how busy he was.

She also sent her well-wishes for the actor in terms of his health and career. “I hope you stay healthy and happy, too. Again, thank you so much for staying by my sister’s side.”

Aside from her own sentiments, Ji Su also left another comment on behalf of their parents.

The parents narrated that they were struggling with Ji Won’s passing, but Woo Bin’s presence in the funeral and his gifts were a huge comfort for them.

Because of the actor’s actions, they said their family was able to feel a lot better. They added that their daughter is off to a good place now that Woo Bin has sent her off.

Even though Ji Won had already passed, the family promised that they’ll still continue to support and root for Woo Bin in his upcoming projects.

In other news, Kim Woo Bin, who is best known for his roles in Black Knight and The Heirs, will star in the Netflix drama Officer Black Belt. He is also confirmed to star in a new variety show from renowned PD Na Young Seok, alongside Lee Kwang Soo, EXO’s DO, and Kim Ki Bang.
