Park Seo Joon’s Prince Yan Gets His Own The Marvels Teaser

Park Seo Joon is set for his Marvel Cinematic Universe debut this November, and fans finally got to see more of his mysterious character. “The Marvels” has dropped an official teaser for Prince Yan and it features a glimpse at the flamboyant culture of the planet Aladna.

Prince Yan Gets His Own ‘The Marvels’ Teaser

The new teaser for “The Marvels” was shared by the official Marvel Studios X account. “Meet the Prince,” the caption reads, referring to Prince Yan. Moreover, the brief teaser features Park Seo Joon wearing several bright looks as the ruler of the planet Aladna. Most notably, Yan is shown wearing his royal garments topped with a Silla-era crown backed by a pair of golden wings.

It’s a decidedly ostentatious look that seems fitting for royalty but netizens pointed out that the outfit was too much, especially for a Marvel character. On the other hand, it is important to point out that Aladna is often described as one of the more outrageous locations in the Marvel comic books so it would make sense that its people would have a flamboyant style to match.

In the comics, Prince Yan initially asks for Carol Danvers’ help so he can get out of an engagement with Lila Cheney. During the wedding, Lila is challenged by another woman who wants to marry Yan. Carol fights in Lila’s place and wins, becoming Yan’s new bride.

For now, it is unclear whether Carol will continue to stay married to Prince Yan in “The Marvels”. However, Park Seo Joon’s character is expected to play a major role in the second “Captain Marvel” movie.

“The Marvels” is directed by Nia DaCosta and stars Brie Larson as Carol Danvers, Teyonah Parris as Monica Rambeau, and Iman Vellani as Kamala Khan. It will also feature Zawe Ashton, Park Seo-joon, and Samuel L. Jackson. In the upcoming sequel, Danvers, Rambeau, and Kamala team up after they begin swapping places with each other every time they use their powers.

“The Marvels” will hit theaters on November 10, 2023.

Park Seo Joon Confirms Love for BTS, Dishes on How He Prepares For Difficult Acting Roles

He might be a movie star but Park Seo Joon is just like the rest of us. The star of “The Marvels” has just confirmed that he admires his fellow South Korean superstars. Park admitted his love for BTS and opened up about how he prepares for difficult acting roles.

Park Seo Joon Announces His Love for BTS

On October 14, the celebrated actor Park Seo Joon conducted an exclusive press conference in preparation for his highly-anticipated fan meeting as the brand ambassador for ‘IAM Worldwide’ in Manila, Philippines.

During the event, Park expressed his gratitude for the warm welcome he received from the moment he arrived at the airport. He shared that what he missed most about the country was the opportunity to meet his fans in person, highlighting the deep connection he has with his Filipino supporters.

During the Q&A with fans, the actor was asked what kind of music style he loved to listen to during a long drive. Not surprisingly, Park Seo Joon said, “I love BTS.” It’s an awesome response considering he previously worked with good friend and fellow Wooga Squad member Kim Taehyung aka BTS’s V in “Jinny’s Kitchen”.

While working with people he likes should be easy, not all of Park Seo Joon’s projects are a walk in the park. The “Dream” star was also how he prepares for a role which would mean understanding a character. Park’s response was thoughtful and insightful.

“If we were to talk about this, I think we need a lot of time,” he said. “Let’s say, for example, I received the role of a 35-year-old doctor. In the scenario itself, I only get to check that he’s already a doctor, but for me, as an actor, it’s my responsibility to try to think about what caused this or how he became a doctor and what he went through.”

“I will try my best to take all the information I can get from that,” Park continued. “However, when I see some missing spots, as an actor, I think it’s my responsibility to fill them up myself.

Park Seo Joon is currently set to debut as Prince Yan in the Marvel Cinematic Universe sequel “The Marvels”, which will hit theaters on November 10, 2023.
