On Thursday, October 26, PLEDIS Entertainment released a statement about the rapper’s health condition.

According to the agency, Mingyu experienced a “sudden, crippling lower back pain that warranted medical treatment.” After his medical examination, the healthcare staff advised the idol to “take time off and have his recovery process monitored.”

“We will do our best to aid Mingyu in his recovery so that he may return in full health to his fans as soon as possible,” they added.

Mingyu and S.coups sit out promotions for ‘SEVENTEENTH HEAVEN’

Following the news, Mingyu took to Weverse to apologize to the SEVENTEEN members.

But the rest of the group were quick to admonish the need for an apology, emphasizing that they should focus on taking care of themselves first.

Even S.coups, who’s also sitting out the promotional activities for the group’s 11th mini-album, left a comment. “Let’s not get sick, health come first,” he wrote.

To note, the SEVENTEEN leader sustained a tear in his left anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) resulting in him needing surgery. As he’s currently focusing on rehabilitation and treatment, PLEDIS Entertainment has earlier announced that he won’t be active for group promotions this time around.

SEVENTEEN’s Mingyu Calls Out Fan For Violating Airport Etiquette

SEVENTEEN’s Mingyu has garnered attention for addressing a fan’s lack of airport etiquette. The issue of fan behavior at airports has been a hot topic of debate among netizens in recent months, with videos from airports worldwide depicting idols being mobbed and large crowds gathering, despite their companies’ scheduling statements. Still, Kim Mingyu made sure to remind one stealthy CARAT to follow the rules at the airport.

Mingyu Calls Out CARAT Who Kept Filming SEVENTEEN At The Airport

Recently, SEVENTEEN was spotted at an airport in Europe, where they had been filming for “Youth Over Flowers” and participating in other schedules. Many fans had expressed their desire for the members to enjoy their time abroad without any intrusion into their privacy. However, footage of the members leaving Europe began to circulate.

One particular fan kept filming Mingyu until he decided to make sure they got the message. The SEVENTEEN member discreetly pointed to the sign once again to emphasize the message and remind the fan not to record the idols.

Not surprisingly, Mingyu has since received praise for “calling out” a fan who was recording the members even after airport staff had pointed out a notice prohibiting filming. SEVENTEEN is currently preparing for an October comeback later this year. The 13-member boy group will be dropping their 11th mini album ‘SEVENTEENTH HEAVEN’ which will be released on October 23, 2023. But before dropping the new EP, the idols will also be calling in CARATs to celebrate a special festival.

PLEDIS Entertainment has confirmed that a second SEVENTEEN STREET will be opened in Seongsu. The upcoming festival includes an art wall, food, and a cafe. SEVENTEEN STREET in Seongsu will be open from October 4 to 9, 2023.

SEVENTEEN Hip Hop Team Show Off Their Soft Side In New ‘Always Yours’ Teasers

On August 20, SEVENTEEN unveiled a collection of captivating photo teasers to tease the Hip Hop Team’s arrival. With their unique blend of talent and charisma, SEVENTEEN continues to captivate fans both in Japan and around the world, and ‘Always Yours’ is poised to be another remarkable addition to their discography. The photos serve as a captivating prelude to what fans can expect from this highly anticipated album.

Although the images are hyping up CARATs for the upcoming release, there is also much concern about the Hip Hop Team leader. It was recently confirmed that S. Coups is taking a break to recuperate from a torn anterior cruciate ligament (ACL). The SEVENTEEN leader was injured while filming content with the rest of the group. Fans can anticipate an eagerly awaited Japanese compilation from SEVENTEEN. It includes their greatest hits, featuring past Japanese versions of songs, along with two fresh tracks: the original Japanese title “Ima -Even if the world ends tomorrow-“ and “Sara Sara,” as previously teased in the highlight medley. ‘Always Yours’ will be released on August 23, 2023.
