Seventeen’s Jun Surprises Fans With Teaser for New Single ‘Psycho’

CARATs are in for a treat as member Jun of K-pop boy group SEVENTEEN is releasing a new single titled “Psycho”. 

On Wednesday, June 28, the Chinese lead dancer and sub-vocalist shared the first teaser for his upcoming solo release, which will be out on July 4.

The 20-second clip started with Jun’s back being shown, before it was interspersed with clips from his 2022 single “LIMBO.” The video also showed the transition of the logos from “LIMBO” to “Psycho.”

 

While SEVENTEEN’s agency PLEDIS Entertainment has yet to release additional details about Jun’s “Psycho,” CARATs are already theorizing that the upcoming track will be a follow-up to “LIMBO” given the similarities in the teaser. 

 

“PSYCHO” will serve as Jun’s fourth digital single following ballads “Crow” and “Silent Boarding Gate” and the sensual track “LIMBO.” 

In a September 2022 interview released on SEVENTEEN’s official YouTube channel, Jun described “LIMBO” as an “opposite extreme” to his earlier releases. “I wanted something that’s totally, completely, and overall different from my previous songs,” he said. 

Jun is among the SEVENTEEN members who actively release solo songs. In 2022 alone, Woozi and Vernon released their respective mixtapes “Ruby” and “Black Eye.”  

The release of his single “Psycho” is also in between SEVENTEEN’s continuous group activities. The 13-piece act released their 10th mini-album FML in April, while they’ll also be releasing their first-ever Japanese best album ALWAYS YOURS in August. 

SEVENTEEN is also set to kick off their FOLLOW concert tour at the Gocheok Sky Dome in Seoul on July 21 and 22.

SEVENTEEN Unveils Highly Anticipated Japanese Album ‘ALWAYS YOURS’

SEVENTEEN, the beloved K-pop boy band, continues to solidify their status as a global sensation, captivating audiences in Japan with their immense popularity. 

They recently made a significant announcement regarding releasing their highly anticipated first-ever Japanese best album, “ALWAYS YOURS.”

 

As revealed through a press release on SEVENTEEN Japan’s official website, the album is scheduled to be unleashed on July 23, 2023. It will encompass a compilation of all the group’s Japanese original songs, Japanese versions of their Korean tracks, and two brand-new Japanese original songs, ensuring a delightful musical experience for their dedicated fanbase, known as Carats.

Carats can anticipate hearing their favorite Japanese tracks such as “Fallin’ Flower,” “24H,” “Call Call Call!,” “Happy Ending,” “Not Alone,” “Power of Love,” and “DREAM” consolidated into one album. 

Additionally, the album will feature Japanese renditions of SEVENTEEN’s hit songs, including “HIGHLIGHT,” “Lean on Me,” “20,” “LOVE LETTER,” and “Oh My!” to name a few.

In their unwavering dedication to their Carats worldwide, SEVENTEEN will also present two brand-new Japanese original songs exclusively crafted for this album.

Since their Japanese debut on May 30, 2018, SEVENTEEN has amassed many accolades and a devoted fanbase. Their comebacks have consistently garnered immense support from their Japanese Carats, prompting the group to reciprocate the love by delivering exhilarating live performances.

Recently, the boy band kicked off their “SEVENTEEN 2023 JAPAN FAN MEETING ‘LOVE'” at the Kyocera Dome in Osaka and the Tokyo Dome in Tokyo, enthralling audiences with their electrifying stage presence. 

 

Before releasing their upcoming Japanese album “ALWAYS YOURS,” SEVENTEEN will treat their Korean Carats to a memorable two-day concert at the Gocheok Sky Dome on July 21 and July 22, 2023.

SEVENTEEN’s Vernon Confirmed as First KENZO Global Ambassador

Vernon is going global with his latest project. The SEVENTEEN rapper has been confirmed as the first global ambassador for KENZO. Hansol Vernon Chwe‘s first gig was representing the French luxury brand at Men’s Fashion Week in Paris this weekend.

KENZO Announces SEVENTEEN’s Vernon As First Global Ambassador

The official KENZO Instagram account made the announcement by sharing a new photo of Vernon with Nigo, the fashion brand’s Artistic Director.

“KENZO is thrilled to announce VERNON as its first global ambassador,” the caption read.

“[Vernon] is joining the KENZO universe, teaming up with a House that shares strong links to the international entertainment scene, under the influence of Artistic Director [Nigo],” it continues.

Nigo also expressed his excitement about the collaboration. “I’m pleased and grateful to welcome Vernon into the KENZO family,” the Artistic Director told WWD.

KENZO explained why they chose the SEVENTEEN rapper as their first global ambassador.

“[Vernon’s] exceptional command of vocal range, tone, and visual versatility quickly helped him garner global recognition and reputation,” the brand said in a statement.

Vernon also issued a statement about the collaboration.

“I feel honored and fortunate to be Kenzo’s global ambassador,” the rapper said. “I’m excited to explore the synergy this partnership will introduce and look forward to showcasing a new side of me to fans around the world.”

Vernon debuted as a member of SEVENTEEN in May 2015. He is part of the group’s Hip-Hop Team and serves as their main rapper.

In December 2022, Choi Hansol released the mixtape Black Eye and the single of the same name. It served as the third addition to SEVENTEEN’s The Thirteen Tapes series which already includes Hoshi’s Spider and Woozi’s Ruby.

SEVENTEEN recently released their tenth EP FML with its title tracks Super and F*ck My Life. The 13-member group will hold a 2-day concert in Seoul, titled Follow to Seoul at the Gocheok Sky Dome on July 21 to 21, 2023.

SEVENTEEN’s Jeonghan Meets Alice In Borderland Star Kento Yamazaki

Jeonghan was in good company in Berlin. The SEVENTEEN member recently attended the Saint Laurent Men’s Summer 2024 show where he met Kento Yamazaki. In addition to that, the “Dream” singer caught up with fellow K-pop idols at the event.

On June 12, Saint Laurent debuted their 2024 spring/summer menswear collection in Berlin, Germany. Yoon Jeonghan of SEVENTEEN was one of the celebrities attending the event and he quickly made friends with other guests.

One celebrity who clearly enjoyed meeting Jeonghan was Japanese actor Kento Yamazaki. The Alice in Borderland star shared a selfie with the SEVENTEEN member on his official Instagram account.

Several videos taken from the event also proved that Jeonghan bonded with Yamazaki. Yoon Jeonghan also posted an image from the fashion event that featured the Your Lie in April actor.

Kento Yamazaki isn’t the only handsome face that Jeonghan was seen with at the YSL show. Saint Laurent creative director Anthony Vaccarello shared snaps of the SEVENTEEN member with other K-pop idols. The photos show Jeonghan with NCT’s Ten and GOT7’s Mark as well as Thai actress Kitty Chicha.

The images prove that Jeonghan can easily make friends even when he isn’t with the other members of SEVENTEEN. Moreover, CARATS were thrilled to see some interaction with other K-pop idols.

In related news, SEVENTEEN member Hoshi celebrated his birthday by giving CARATs a special gift. The Performance Team leader dropped the MV for Stay, a self-composed track that he had prepared for his birthday.

The best part of Hoshi’s gift is that he shared it at a special time. The Stay MV was uploaded at exactly 10:10 PM KST. It’s a cool reference to Kwon Soonyoung’s “10/10 vision”. It is also the same time that the group’s variety show Going Seventeen used to be uploaded on YouTube.

SEVENTEEN’s S. Coups Resumes Japan Activities

S. Coups is officially back to work. The SEVENTEEN leader has resumed group activities after taking a short break due to some health issues.

PLEDIS Entertainment Announces S. Coups’ Absence From Fan Meeting

On May 27, PLEDIS Entertainment issued a statement confirming that S. Coups will not participate in a fan meeting scheduled on that day. The agency revealed that Choi Seungcheol was not feeling well.

“As he is not feeling well, SEVENTEEN’s S. Coups will inevitably be absent from the Tokyo performance of SEVENTEEN 2023 JAPAN FANMEETING ‘LOVE’ on May 27,” the statement read.

“We apologize to fans and ask for your understanding,” it continues. “We will do our best to support S. Coups so he may recover his health as soon as possible.”

SEVENTEEN Quickly Reunites With Group Leader

Luckily, it looks like the SEVENTEEN leader quickly recovered from his illness. The group’s maknae Dino shared two selfies on Twitter confirming Choi Seungcheol resumed group activities the following day.

It is unclear why S. Coups was not able to join the rest of the group on May 27. However, Japanese CARATs were happy to see him reunited with the other SEVENTEEN members so soon.

There is a good reason why fans are concerned about S. Coups. Back in November 2019, the Hip-Hop Team leader announced that he is taking a break from the group. Choi Seungcheol was in hiatus for several months, eventually reuniting with his members on March 2020. However, SEVENTEEN was still unable to go on tour due to COVID-19.

SEVENTEEN is currently promoting their tenth mini album ‘FML’ and the singles “F*ck My Life” and “Super”. The group are also touring Japan for the “LOVE” fan meetings.

‘Suchwita’ Host Suga Calls SEVENTEEN’s Woozi His Younger Brother

It finally happened! BTS’ Suga and SEVENTEEN’s Woozi got together for the latest episode of “Suchwita” to beat the doppelganger allegations. Lee Jihoon impressed Min Yoongi so much that the “Haegeum” rapper called him his “younger brother.”

In “Suchwita” Episode 10, Suga hyped up the arrival of his next guest. The BTS rapper claimed that “so many people are looking forward to seeing this two-shot.” This is a reference to the similarities between him and Woozi, who shares similar features and is also a gifted producer like Suga.

When Woozi arrived, he presented Suga with gifts and they immediately addressed the elephant in the room. Suga revealed that fellow BTS member RM had brought up a common belief about doppelgangers and worried about their meeting.

“My members kept asking me who the next guest on ‘Suchwita’ was so when I told them it was you, Woozi, RM said ‘Won’t you die if you two meet?’ I asked why, and he said ‘You two are doppelgangers, aren’t you?’” Suga said.

Min Yoongi also admitted to playing up the similarities between him and Woozi. He confirmed he had their hair styled similarly for the “Haegeum” TikTok challenge video they did together.

It was immediately clear that the two had a great connection. Suga pointed out that Woozi feels like family to him.

“Although I don’t have a younger brother, he’s like a younger brother. I feel like I’m looking into a mirror. I can see myself in you when I was around 16 or 17,” Suga said.

Woozi quickly agreed, saying, Suga “feels like an older brother too.” Needless to say, ARMYs and CARATs are already looking forward to a possible collaboration between the two.

The latest episode of “Suchwita” is out now. Suga is currently on the road for his first world tour the ‘Suga Agust D Tour’. Meanwhile, Woozi is promoting SEVENTEEN’s new album ‘FML’.

Seungkwan Will Not Participate in Some of SEVENTEEN’s Comeback Promotions

Seungkwan is sitting out some of SEVENTEEN’s comeback promotions. The main vocalist will be taking a break from some group promotions as he is reportedly “feeling unwell.”

PLEDIS Entertainment Confirms Seungkwan’s Absence in SEVENTEEN Comeback Promotions

PLEDIS Entertainment issued a statement that confirmed Boo Seung-kwan’s absence from some of SEVENTEEN’s current promotions.

“We would like to inform you that SEVENTEEN member Seungkwan will not be able to participate in some of SEVENTEEN’s 10th Mini Album ‘FML’ activities,” the statement read. It also stated that the vocalist will not join the SEVENTEEN 10th Mini Album Fan ‘FML’ Signing event.

According to the statement, Seungkwan “is currently feeling unwell.” It did not specify the SEVENTEEN member’s health condition.

“We offer our apologies to our fans and ask for your generous understanding,” the statement added. “Our company is committed to providing necessary support and assistance to Seungkwan during his recovery process.”

Although the statement did not specify why Seungkwan is unwell, his condition might be connected to a recent tragedy. On April 19, Boo Seung-kwan’s friend Moonbin passed away. The ASTRO member’s passing was a sudden tragedy and Seung Kwan had recently paid tribute to his friend.

Seungkwan recently posted a series of photos featuring Moonbin on his official Instagram account. The SEVENTEEN main vocalist also shared a message for his late friend.

“It was an honor for me to become your friend. And thank you so much for being my friend. Thank you again for allowing me to learn and feel many things,” he wrote. “You’re my friend in our next life, no matter what. I’ll see you up there! I’ll hug you tight as soon as I see you. I love you so much. Bin, you worked hard.”

SEVENTEEN’s Seungkwan Pays Tribute to Moonbin in Emotional Instagram Post

Seungkwan is paying tribute to his good friend, the late Moon Bin. The SEVENTEEN vocalist shared several happy pictures featuring the ASTRO member on his official Instagram account. Boo Seungkwan also wrote an emotional letter addressed to Moonbin.

Seungkwan’s latest Instagram post features a series of photos of himself and his late friend who passed away on April 19. In the caption, the SEVENTEEN member explained that he wanted to share the memories “for all the people who loved you.”

“You were a person who made the world look different. It’s so hard to get along this well,” Seungkwan wrote. “We walked together for hours without a destination. Captured pretty sceneries on a camera. Became lost in contemplation while looking at the night sky. Became drunk and sang songs on the streets. When I fell asleep drunk, you would always make sure to charge my phone before sleeping.”

He also reminisced about his disagreements with Moon Bin which were always settled naturally.

“We would fight until our faces got red because of trivial words, We tried not contacting each other, being hurt and out of pride. But in the end, we would miss each other and say sorry to each other. After reconciling, we would hang out having fun like never before,” Seungkwan wrote.

“It was an honor for me to become your friend. And thank you so much for being my friend. Thank you again for allowing me to learn and feel many things,” he added.

“You’re my friend in our next life, no matter what. I’ll see you up there! I’ll hug you tight as soon as I see you. I love you so much. Bin, you worked hard,” Seungkwan concluded.

SEVENTEEN is currently promoting their latest album ‘FML’. Last week, Seungkwan did not join the group in the Mnet M Countdown pre-recording.

Woozi Discusses Writing Process and Producing Music For SEVENTEEN

Woozi is opening up about his writing process and the importance of producing music for his group. The SEVENTEEN vocalist also discussed what it is like dealing with fellow members. Lee Jihoon revealed what Hoshi and Vernon are like as artists from a producer’s point of view.

SEVENTEEN members Hoshi, Woozi, and Vernon recently featured in a stunning pictorial for Vogue Korea. In the accompanying interview, Lee Jihoon admitted he has an odd writing process.

“I have bad handwriting, so I write memos on my phone or computer instead of taking analog notes,” he said. “[I wonder], ‘What state was I in at the time to have written this?’ It doesn’t feel like me. I’m glad to leave [notes] like this. It’s like scribbling about me.”

Woozi also confessed that writing on his own is comforting for him.

“It’s embarrassing and embarrassing to say, but it’s definitely there. I am comforted by the lyrics I wrote. People will laugh when they see it, but it is a very moving moment for me. In fact, it often happens,” he said with a laugh.

Woozi Describes SEVENTEEN’s Vernon and Hoshi as Artists

Of Kwon Soonyoung, Woozi said, “Hoshi is intense. As a producer, he keeps raising the expectations for the player. But Hoshi shows how he goes a step further than that. That is how much he is overflowing with passion. I admire him.”

SEVENTEEN is hyping up the release of ‘FML’ with an amazing cinematic teaser. The gorgeous preview offers an impressive glimpse at the upcoming “F*ck My Life” MV, the group’s latest single.

The official HYBE LABELS YouTube channel uploaded the video titled “F*ck My Life: Life in a Minute.” The teaser features all 13 members of SEVENTEEN playing people from different walks of life. There is a bit of suspense as Vernon is shown trying to escape some men. Meanwhile, Jeonghan brings a hopeful vibe as he lounges at the beach.

“F*ck My Life: Life in a Minute” serves as an MV teaser for the group’s upcoming single “F*ck My Life.” The title track is the first one from SEVENTEEN’s 10th mini-album ‘FML’. The official music video for the lead single will premiere on April 24, 2023, at 6:00 PM KST.

SEVENTEEN EP ‘FML’ Sets Amazing New Record

‘FML’ is SEVENTEEN’s first album of the year that will be released by the entire group. The EP has already set a new record in pre-orders with a whopping 4 million units. The group’s album distributor YG PLUS had previously revealed that ‘FML’ exceeded 2.18 million stock pre-orders in just three days after pre-orders began.

SEVENTEEN released the ‘FML’ tracklist on April 2. The official teaser confirms the EP will consist of six new songs including “F*ck My Life” and a second title track. In addition to the title tracks, the album will feature songs from each team.

The Hiphop Team (S. Coups, Wonwoo, Mingyu, and Vernon) produced the track “Fire” while the Vocal Team (Woozi, Jeonghan, Joshua, DK, and Seungkwan) chose “먼지 (Dust)”. The Performance Team (Hoshi, Jun, THE8, and Dino) has a new song “I Don’t Understand But I Luv U”. The track is inspired by a comment made by a CARAT.

‘FML’ will be released on April 24, 2023, at 6:00 PM KST.
