ABOUT THE GROUP
TOMORROW X TOGETHER, often abbreviated as TXT, is a South Korean boy band under Big Hit Music (formerly known as Big Hit Entertainment). They made their highly anticipated debut on March 4, 2019, with their first mini-album titled “The Dream Chapter: STAR”. TXT quickly garnered attention for their fresh sound, captivating choreography, and youthful energy.
TXT’s music is characterized by its blend of pop, rock, and hip-hop elements, often exploring themes of youth, dreams, and growth. They are known for their powerful performances and meaningful lyrics, which resonate with their global fanbase known as MOA (Moment of Alwaysness).
Since their debut, TXT has achieved significant success both domestically and internationally, earning numerous awards and accolades. They continue to evolve their musical style and expand their fanbase through regular album releases, captivating music videos, and engaging social media presence.
TXT’s journey in the K-pop industry has been marked by their unique identity and strong connection with fans, making them a promising and influential force in the global music scene.
Earlier this month, certain SNS posts caused a stir among MOAs—fans of the fourth-generation boy group TOMORROW X TOGETHER (TXT). Fans were surprised to see photos of TXT on boxes of General Mills cereals, and they wondered if the boys had collaborated with the brand. However, there was confusion as no official announcements had been made at that time. Eventually, any initial skepticism about the authenticity of these photos was laid to rest when General Mills confirmed the collaboration through a press release on their official website.
Each of TXT’s five members—Soobin, Yeonjun, Beomgyu, Taehyun, and Hueningkai—appears on a different box alongside a General Mills brand mascot. For instance, Soobin shares space with Trix the Rabbit, who became the mascot of Trix in 1959. Known for his attempts to trick children into giving him cereal, his catchphrase “Silly rabbit! Trix are for kids!” became widely recognized. Soobin loves General Mills cereals because of the mascots, and Trix the Rabbit is actually his favorite, so he’s happy to be paired with the mischievous long-eared bunny. (It’s also worth noting that some MOAs and even the other TXT members themselves think Soobin resembles a rabbit.)
The TXT limited edition
Hueningkai, who appears on boxes of Cinnamon Toast Crunch, also weighed in. “I think MOAs will be delighted to see us featured on the General Mills packages on the store shelves! I hope everyone starts their day energetically with TXT limited edition cereals,” he said. Hueningkai’s partner is the cereal’s mascot, Crazy Squares. These square-shaped characters are lively, playful, and often depicted engaging in mischievous antics in commercials for the cereal.
Yeonjun shares his box with Chip the Wolf, the face of Cookie Crisp. Chip became the cereal’s mascot in the US in 2005 and has held that position for a grand total of 14 years. This makes him similar to Yeonjun, who spent many years as a trainee before debuting in TXT as its main dancer and mat-hyung (oldest member). Chip’s antics, which involve hilarious yet unsuccessful attempts to steal Cookie Crisp cereal, are usually highlighted in the brand’s advertising campaigns.
Yeonjun noted, “I’m excited about the collaboration because General Mills is a brand that everyone can enjoy. I hope many people will like the TXT limited edition, too!”
A collectible item for fans
Their bandmates Beomgyu and Taehyun were partnered with Lucky the Leprechaun and Buzz the Bee, respectively. Lucky the Leprechaun, also known as Sir Charms, is the mascot for Lucky Charms. Debuting in 1964, Lucky is depicted as a leprechaun who is protective of his magical marshmallow charms. Meanwhile, Buzz the Bee, introduced in 1980, represents the flavor of the cereal. Aside from becoming a mascot for the brand, Buzz played a key role in campaigns about preserving honeybee populations.
These special edition boxes also include cardboard cutouts of the band members, making them a collectible item for fans. They became available starting April 22 at major retailers such as Target and Wal-Mart, as well as various smaller grocery stores. The limited edition Reese’s Puffs box—which features all five TXT members—will be exclusively available at Wal-Mart from May 6 until it is discontinued.
Speaking of collectibles, the brand is teasing another limited-edition box as part of this collaboration. Check it out below!

TOMORROW X TOGETHER’s Kang Taehyun teamed up with Japan’s Yamashita Tomohisa for the soundtrack of the new drama Blue Moment. It follows the lives of the Special Disaster Response Headquarters team, who dedicate their lives to saving people affected by severe meteorological events.
Taehyun lent his vocals to a song titled “Perfect Storm,” the lyrics of which Tomohisa wrote. His approach was thoughtful, weaving appropriate references into the OST to mirror the series’ narrative. “Because this drama is about saving people through meteorology, I made sure to include many words related to nature and weather in the lyrics,” explained the Japanese actor-singer. “I included hope that even if covered by dark clouds, there is light above, hoping it would synergize well with the drama.”

Yamashita Tomohisa, who also goes by his nickname Yamapi, is a prominent Japanese celebrity. Born on April 9, 1985, in Chiba, Japan, his difficult childhood led him to find solace in acting and music from a very young age. He started his career with Johnny’s and Associates, where he became part of the boy band NEWS before leaving in 2011 to go solo. He released successful albums and singles like “Seishun Amigo.”
In 1998, he made his acting debut in the drama Shonentachi, which was followed by roles in Nobuta wo Produce, Kurosagi, and Code Blue. In Blue Moment, he plays Kankuro Haruhara, the chief weather researcher at the Special Disaster Response Headquarters. His character uses his knowledge of meteorology to stay ahead of the curve during difficult times.
Throughout his career, Tomohisa has participated in high-profile collaborations and concerts that solidified his status as a major player in the Asian entertainment scene. This duet with Taehyun is the latest in a long line of successful musical partnerships with the likes of Namie Amuro.
Taehyun expressed excitement about their collaboration. “I knew Mr. Tomohisa Yamashita was very famous in Japan as an artist and an actor, so I was happy to participate in a recording for a drama he stars in. ‘Perfect Storm’ is a song that, despite the stormy weather, expresses a strong will to overcome adversity and reach the blue skies if you climb high enough. I sang with all my might, so please look forward to the broadcast!”

TXT’s Yeonjun, BOYNEXTDOOR’s Woonhak, and actress ParkJiHu have stepped down from their roles as MCs of SBS’s Inkigayo. Yeonjun started hosting the show in April 2022, followed by ParkJiHu and Woonhak in July 2023. Yeonjun opens up about ‘Inkigayo’
When he got back to TXT’s dorm after the broadcast, Yeonjun went live on Weverse to talk about the show. He revealed that he was able to take home some very special souvenirs: “Inkigayo gave me a few things—this picture, the sign I held up, and my last cue card. I cried so much today, so my eyes are really puffy right now. I’m just so grateful.”
The connection he felt with the show was deep and meaningful. “I can’t imagine my Sundays without Inkigayo. Inkigayo is actually a job, right? But from the day I started, I never thought of it as work. I always felt like, ‘I’m going for a healing time, I’m going to have fun,’” Yeonjun shared.
He reflected on his experiences and the bonds he formed with his colleagues. “The staff were all really kind. The MCs that I did Inkigayo with now and in the past…I was able to meet really good people and find really good relationships within them. I actually missed a lot of Inkigayo episodes because of our tour, right? I always felt really bad and sorry about it. But they never made me feel anything, and they were so kind every time I’d come back. I felt really bad because I felt like I couldn’t be that great of an MC, but the staff always made me feel so great, and they always said to me, ‘You’re the best MC.’ So, I felt really grateful; they were always kind to me even though I was lacking.”

Forever son
The emotional weight of his farewell was evident as Yeonjun discussed how he managed his feelings during his final hours on the show. “All the MCs were trying their best to be hyped today, even though we were all teary-eyed. When I went on stage for the performance, I was feeling teary-eyed again, so I was dancing with tears in my eyes. I just had tears in my eyes the whole time,” he admitted.
“Even on my way back, I kept thinking about it and holding in my tears. I didn’t even look at my phone on purpose. I was just zoned out and thinking about things. I cried so much today, my eyes hurt now,” Yeonjun continued. “I guess I still have a lot of lingering feelings from it. I was an MC for 2 years. I guess I felt very strongly about it. It was very special to me. Although I’m very sad about it, and I will miss it, I think it ended very beautifully. All the Inkigayo staff members, when I was crying, they were crying too, and they kept telling me, ‘It’s not the end, this is just a new beginning.’”
Finally, he said, “I miss it already. I already miss you, Inkigayo. I’m Inkigayo’s forever son.’”
Following their departure, the Inkigayo stage is set to welcome new hosts: IVE’s Leeseo, ZEROBASEONE’s Han Yu Jin, and actor Moon Sung Hyun, who are expected to bring fresh charisma to the beloved music show. Ahead of their first episode, BOYNEXTDOOR’s Sungho, Taesan, and Woonhak will take the stage for the April 21 broadcast as special MCs.

At the ASEAN Prize 2024 event in Japan, Francine Diaz accidentally mispronounced the name of the K-pop group TOMORROW X TOGETHER, aka TXT. Instead of saying “Tomorrow by Together,” the Filipina actress said “Tomorrow times Together.” The mistake occurred when Francine announced the winner of the ASEAN GLOBAL KPOP LEADERS award. Despite the mix-up, the TXT members were visibly thrilled when they realized they had won.
When a clip of the moment went viral on the internet, Francine’s family, fans, and friends were worried that the actress would be harshly criticized for her mistake. But fans of TXT, affectionately known as MOAs (Moments of Alwaysness), reacted in a way no one saw coming.
Instead of getting upset, MOAs worldwide rallied around the actress. They found Francine adorable and recognized it was an honest mistake. Some even loved the way she pronounced “TOMORROW X TOGETHER” because she took the name literally. After all, the “x” symbol is most commonly used to denote multiplication in math. For instance, in equations or mathematical expressions, “x” often means “times,” as in “3 x 4,” which is read as “three times four.”
Francine took to Instagram after the event to address the incident. During a live broadcast, she issued a heartfelt apology for the slip-up. “I’m very sorry for that very big mistake. Please excuse me because I am not that updated anymore with what is happening in the K-pop world,” she explained, adding humorously, “You know I only stan two groups. But now, I know better because I’ve been educated: Tomorrow By Together.”
The actress also told fans what went down when she met up with TXT backstage. “In fairness, they were very kind when I went down the stairs with them; they let me walk first. They even offered me a seat. They are very kind,” Francine recounted.
She ended her broadcast by thanking TXT’s fans for their understanding and light-hearted take on the situation, which could have easily turned into a nightmare. “But thank you because you took it in a positive way. Thank you for not making it a big deal,” she said.
With their reaction to Francine’s gaffe, MOAs worldwide proved they have a lot in common with Yeonjun, Soobin, Beomgyu, Taehyun, and Hueningkai: They’re as kind and funny as the group they stan. Instead of bashing Francine, they lifted her up and showed that compassion trumps destructive criticism every time. – K-Pop News Writer

K-pop powerhouse TOMORROWXTOGETHER, aka TXT, has once again captured the hearts (and ears) of fans worldwide with the release of their latest mini album, minisode 3: TOMORROW. The album’s title track, “Deja Vu,” accompanied by a visually striking music video, has quickly garnered attention. Within just 15 minutes of its release on YouTube, the video amassed over 115,000 views, underscoring the quintet’s immense popularity.
The mini album includes tracks such as “Miracle,”“I’ll See You Tomorrow,” and “- — — — .-. .-. — .– (TOMORROW),” along with a remix of “Deja Vu.” It also features unit songs “The Killa” by Yeonjun and Soobin, and “Quarter Life” by Beomgyu, Taehyun, and Hueningkai.

International appeal
Upon its release, minisode 3: TOMORROW debuted at number one on the Circle Album Chart (formerly Gaon Chart), with 1,542,718 copies sold in its first week. This achievement marks TXT’s ninth No. 1 album on the Circle Album Chart, bringing their total sales across all albums to 14.6 million units on this chart. The impact of TXT’s latest project extends beyond the South Korean music scene. minisode 3: TOMORROW is expected to debut at No. 3 on the Billboard 200 in the US with sales of over 105,000 units in its first week.
As further proof of their international appeal, TXT recently appeared on NBC’s The Kelly Clarkson Show for the second time. Host Kelly Clarkson introduced them as “one of the most famous K-pop groups on the planet.” She also highlighted their performances at the 2023 MTV Video Music Awards and the music festival Lollapalooza.
Their performance of “Deja Vu” on the show began with a scene where a coin marked “2019”—the year of the group’s debut—was displayed. It featured sand slipping through fingers and props meant to evoke a sense of nostalgia. TXT combined all that with their dynamic choreography and facial expressions to convey the mood of the song. The highlight of the performance was a dazzling dance break featuring all five members.

Congratulations, TXT
Back in South Korea, “Deja Vu” has also seen remarkable success on the music show circuit. It clinched the first-place trophy on the April 10 episode of ShowChampion. It beat strong contenders like BABYMONSTER’s “SHEESH” and DAY6’s “Welcome to the Show.”TXT went on to pick up two more wins on M! Countdown and Music Bank, where “Deja Vu” outperformed tracks from ILLIT and other artists. It secured a total of 6,402 points on M! Countdown and 10,327 points on Music Bank.

TOMORROW X TOGETHER, aka TXT, captivated fans with a series of six videos teasing their upcoming mini-album, minisode 3: TOMORROW. Released earlier this month, these videos exude a fairy tale-like vibe, offering fans a glimpse into the new album’s enchanting concept. The videos show the members clad in elegant ivory outfits and sparkling paper crowns, setting an otherworldly yet romantic mood.
minisode 3: TOMORROW is set for release in April. It marks the conclusion of the group’s “The Name Chapter” series and heralds the beginning of a new chapter in TXT’s journey. The mini-album weaves together stories from “The Dream Chapter,” “The Chaos Chapter,” and “The Name Chapter.” It delves into themes of failed love, fractured friendships, and temptation—themes TXT has explored since their debut in 2019.
Apart from the videos, the group also unveiled the album package image for minisode 3: TOMORROW. It intrigued fans with the line: “Even if we part ways, let’s promise to meet here again.” This line was noteworthy because it had previously appeared in the MV for “Nap of a Star,” the final track of TXT’s debut album, The Dream Chapter: STAR. The inclusion of this line in the album package image for minisode 3: TOMORROW hints at the story TXT will tell with this album and how it connects to their previous releases.
Adding to the ethereal teasers, TXT also released a new video titled “Light.” It shows all five members in a celestial garden, surrounded by trees, fluttering leaves, and a radiant glow. The presence of a mysterious pair of feet wearing ballet slippers adds an intriguing twist, capturing the attention of viewers. It serves as one more hint at the narrative of minisode 3: TOMORROW.
