YOUNITE’s Hyunseung Departs Group, Agency Confirms

On July 2, BRANDNEW MUSIC issued a statement announcing that Hyunseung from YOUNITE will be departing from both the group and the agency due to personal reasons.

In a statement, they said: “Hello, this is BRANDNEW MUSIC. First of all, it is with great regret that we announce some unfortunate news to all the fans who have shown YOUNITE so much interest and love.”

“Due to personal reasons, YOUNITE member Hyunseung will be leaving the team and terminating his exclusive contract with our agency.We apologize once again for any concerns caused by this sudden announcement. YOUNITE will continue its activities with the remaining eight members.”

YOUNITE, a South Korean boy group under Brand New Music, comprises nine members: Eunho, Steve, Hyunseung, Eunsang, Hyungseok, Woono, DEY, Kyungmun, and Sion.

Debut

YOUNITE officially debuted on April 20, 2022, with their first EP titled “Youni-Birth”.

 

The group consists of the following nine members: Eunho, Steve, Hyunseung. Eunsang, Hyungseok, Woono, DEY, Kyungmun, Sion.

YOUNITE, formed under Brand New Music, was a promising nine-member boy group in the K-pop scene.

“We will spare no effort in supporting the new beginning of YOUNITE with its eight members, and we ask for your continued love and support in the future,” the agency added.

The agency announced last month that Hyunseung would temporarily suspend his activities due to personal reasons.

YOUNITE’s Hyunseung will be taking a break from his activities due to personal reasons. This announcement came on June 12 through a statement released by BRANDNEW MUSIC on the group’s official fan café.

In the statement, the agency detailed that Hyunseung would be temporarily stepping back from group activities to address his personal matters, though no specific details were provided.

“We would like to inform you that YOUNITE’s member Hyunseung will be temporarily suspending his activities due to personal reasons. For the time being, YOUNITE will continue their activities as an 8-member group,” the statement read. “We sincerely apologize for causing concern to our fans with this sudden news.”

The news arrives amid growing anticipation for YOUNITE’s potential participation in “Road to Kingdom 2.” Rumors have been circulating about the possible lineup for the show, with several boy groups, including CRAVITY, xikers, THE NEW SIX, 8TURN, ATBO, and TEMPEST, reportedly being considered alongside YOUNITE. Despite these speculations, there have been no official confirmations from either the agencies of these groups or Mnet, the show’s broadcaster, leaving fans in suspense.

The uncertainty surrounding Hyun Seung’s hiatus raises questions about how YOUNITE will manage upcoming performances and promotional activities, especially if they do participate in “Road to Kingdom 2.” The competitive nature of the show typically requires all members to be actively involved, which means Hyunseung’s break could impact the group’s overall performance and strategy.

Look: Younite to Make Comeback With ‘Bit Part. 2’

K-pop boy group YOUNITE is making their comeback with their fifth mini-album BIT Part. 2

According to agency BRAND NEW MUSIC, BIT Part. 2 will be released on October 17. It will serve as a follow-up to the group’s fourth EP BIT Part. 1, which was released in May. 

In the teaser released on Tuesday, September 26,, a pager which carried the phrase “Love It” is seen in a jeans pocket. Moreover, the poster featured phrases “I Got You” and “Whenever you are ready, just tell me.”

Eagle-eyed fans noticed that pager in the latest teaser was similar from the group’s previous release. According to fans, the pager first appeared in the music video for “Water Fall.” “Water Fall” was the title track for BIT Part. 1. 

As of writing, details about the title track and number of songs have yet to be announced. 

However, based on their comeback schedule, YOUNITE will be releasing story trailers, track list, track samplers, unit photos, and music video teasers in the coming days. Then on October 17, an hour before the album and music video release, the group will hold a countdown live.

In April 2022, YOUNITE made their debut with the first EP Youni-BIRTH. A combination of the words “you” and “unite,” the band’s name aims to signify the group’s wish to be connected with their fans at all times. 

It is composed of members Eunho, Steve, Hyunseung, Eunsang, Hyungseok, Woonno, DEY, Kyungmun, and Sion. Some of their songs are “Aviator,” “Bad Cupid,” and “Come Around.”

Since the confirmation of YOUNITE’s latest comeback, fans of the group are looking forward to their latest offering. 

The nine-piece act is known for refreshing concepts and innovative takes. Which makes their releases always something to watch out for.
