On social media, fans of the artist were quick to express their delight in this significant milestone in his career. Moreover, they’re also looking forward to his upcoming activities under his new agency, who is renowned for nurturing all-encompassing talents across diverse fields.

A fresh start for Hongseok

Having debuted with PENTAGON in 2016, Hongseok has gained immense popularity both domestically and internationally, owing to his outstanding vocal abilities and versatile charm. Additionally, his strong connection with fans through social media platforms has further solidified his status.

Beyond his musical career, Hongseok has demonstrated a different facet of his talent on various entertainment programs and delivered noteworthy acting performances. Among his notable projects include The Love That’s Left, Phoenix 2020, Move to Heaven, Blue Birthday, and Shadow Beauty.

In November 2023, the idol-actor departed from Cube Entertainment after seven years. At the time, the agency said that while Hongseok decided to not renew his contract, they’re still grateful for his passion and talent displayed during his stay with PENTAGON. Moreover, the label also expressed their optimism for the idol’s future activities.

With Hongseok leaving Cube Entertainment, he became the sixth member of PENTAGON to leave the agency in just two months. In October 2023,  Yeo One, Yan An, Yuto, Kino, and Wooseok decided to not renew their exclusive contracts with the company.

With these developments, only Hui, Jinho, and Shinwon remain with the agency.  Currently, CUBE Entertainment has yet to address rumors about the group’s potential hiatus or disbandment.
