EXO D.O. To Launch New DearU Bubble Account

EXO-Ls were recently shocked when it was revealed that D.O. is terminating his Bubble account with Lysn. However, the news came with an awesome surprise. It has since been confirmed that the EXO member is launching a new DearU Bubble account next month!

EXO Member D.O. Announces New DearU Bubble Account Starting April

An announcement confirmed that D.O.’s Lysn current account will expire on March 29, 2024. Luckily, the announcement added that a new DeadU Bubble account will be also launched for the EXO member by the following month.

Additionally, there were instructions for fans who wanted to update their accounts to continue following D.O. on the app. This means EXO-Ls can still keep in contact with the EXO member, but this time with a new account that is catered just for Doh Kyungsoo.

D.O. has made a lot of fun memories since he joined the app. For instance, he previously had Eris delighted when he promoted “Moana 2” after seeing a special announcement on Disney+ Korea.

D.O.’s Future Promotions

D.O. debuted with EXO in April 2012 and has been with SM Entertainment since then. However, he became the fourth EXO member to decide against renewing his contract with the company. In late 2023, he established a new agency Company Soosoo with a former manager. Although the new agency will be handling his solo promotions and acting endeavours, Doh Kyungsoo will also continue to promote as a member of EXO and is expected to take part in the group’s upcoming fan meeting in April.

EXO is celebrating their 12th debut anniversary with the fan meeting  ‘2024 EXO FAN MEETING : ONE‘. Scheduled to take place at the prestigious Incheon Yeongjongdo Inspire Arena on April 14th, the fan meeting will be also divided into two sessions, accommodating the enthusiastic crowds of EXO-Ls eager to engage with their favorite idols.

EXO’s D.O. Releases New Profile Photos Under Company Soosoo

Idol-actor Doh Kyungsoo, who’s more popularly known as EXO member D.O., has embarked on a significant change in his career as he releases profile photos under his new agency, Company Soosoo. 

On Monday, November 20, Company Soosoo unveiled the latest photos of D.O. In the pictures, the idol-actor showcased his charismatic expression and distinctive aura that once again captivated fans. 

Notably, this photoshoot serves as his first public appearance since he joined the new company. As such, fans were quick to shower the artist with praises for his elegance, poise, and confidence. Moreover, this led fans to anticipate D.O.s future activities under Company Soosoo. 

Prior to the release of the profile photos, the agency also announced that they’ll be taking legal action for malicious posts that target and harm their artists. According to Company Soosoo, they have an internal monitoring system that would collect relevant information about instances like these. However, they also asked fans to continue reporting these posts and comments that contain insults and baseless accusations. 

“We will continue our ongoing efforts to safeguard our artists’ rights and vigorously respond to illegal activities, including the spread of false information and malicious rumors,” they said. 

EXO’s D.O. under Company Soosoo

In October, SM Entertainment confirmed that D.O.’s contract with the agency will be expiring by November. However, the company emphasized that D.O. will still continue his EXO activities with SM Entertainment. 

But, he will also pursue acting and individual activities through Company Soosoo, a newly-established agency that is founded by his and SM Entertainment’s former manager. As of writing, there’s no announcements yet as to what solo projects will D.O. be pursuing. 

Aside from being the vocalist of EXO, D.O. has also released the solo albums: Empathy and Anticipation

Furthermore, he also pursued acting. Since 2014, he’s been starring in multiple series and films, including It’s Okay, That’s Love, 100 Days My Prince, Bad Prosecutor, Room No. 7, and The Moon. 

Among his latest projects is the variety show You Reap What You Sow, which also stars Lee Kwang Soo, Kim Woo Bin, and Kim Ki Bang.

EXO’s D.O. Confirmed for Revenge Drama with Ji Chang Wook

EXO’s D.O. and Ji Chang Wook are in discussions to share the screen in an upcoming drama titled “Sculptured City” with a reported production cost of 35 billion won (approximately $26.4 million). The revenge drama is set to be Do Kyung Soo’s first project since signing with a new agency.

D.O. Gearing Up for New Revenge Drama with Ji Chang Wook

According to industry insiders on November 13, both actors are considering roles in the revenge-themed drama. D.O.’s agency, Company Soosoo, responded to the reports, stating, “‘Sculptured City’ is a project [D.O.] is positively reviewing.” Ji Chang Wook’s agency, Spring Company, also confirmed the offer and shared that he is actively reviewing the opportunity.

Directed by Kim Chang Joo of “Hard Hit” and written by Oh Sang Ho, known for the “Taxi Driver” series and “The Roundup: Punishment” (“The Outlaws 4”), the drama follows an ordinary man whose life is abruptly manipulated, leading to a journey of revenge.

Ji Chang Wook is expected to portray the character of the once ordinary man who seeks revenge against those responsible for his downfall. Meanwhile, D.O. is rumored to play the role of a designer manipulating people’s lives, creating real-life hell.

As Ji Chang Wook prepares for his upcoming drama “Welcome to Samdalri” alongside Shin Hye Sun, D.O. continues to captivate audiences with his appearances on the variety show “GBRB: Reap What You Sow.” The potential collaboration between these two talented actors in “Sculptured City” adds anticipation to what promises to be an intense and gripping drama.

D.O. has found a new agency and they are immediately taking action to protect their artists. Company Soosoo has issued a statement confirming they are taking legal action against malicious posts about the EXO member and their other affiliated artists.

D.O.’s New Agency Announces Intentions to Take Legal Action Against Malicious Posts

On November 6, Company Soosoo issued a statement about their plans.

“In order to protect the honor of our affiliated artists, we plan to take regular legal action against the creators of malicious posts and comments containing baseless accusations, defamation, and malicious insults on online communities and social media,” the statement read.

“We will collect relevant information through our internal monitoring system, and we would be grateful if fans could also report malicious posts and comments when they come across them. Please report any such content to our dedicated email account at clean@companysoosoo.com,” it continues.

We will continue our ongoing efforts to safeguard our artists’ rights and vigorously respond to illegal activities, including the spread of false information and malicious rumors,” the statement concludes.

On October 18, SM Entertainment also confirmed that D.O. would be leaving the agency. He would then join a new agency founded by SM’s former manager. SM Entertainment further clarified that D.O. will continue his EXO activities with SM while also carrying out acting and individual activities through Company Soosoo.

“D.O.’s exclusive contract with us will expire in early November,” the statement read. “Following thorough discussions with D.O., it has been decided that he will continue his EXO activities with SM, but will also proceed with his acting and individual activities through the newly established agency founded by his and SM’s former manager.”

SM Entertainment Addresses EXO D.O. Signing With New Agency

It’s official: D.O. is leaving SM Entertainment. Several reports suggested that the EXO member will be leaving the company to join a new agency with a longtime friend. Now, SM Entertainment has addressed the news to assure fans about the idol’s future.

According to several reports, D.O. is currently extending his activities by joining a new agency, which was founded by a long-time management director who has been with him since his debut. Notably, D.O. and the management director share a close bond well-known among EXO fans. Do Kyungsoo reportedly mentioned the manager in various award acceptance speeches and interviews, and consults with the manager regarding his career decisions.

Despite the reported move to a new agency, it is anticipated that D.O. will maintain his role as an EXO member while pursuing new opportunities within the framework of the new company.

SM Entertainment Confirms EXO D.O.’s New Agency

Since then, SM Entertainment has addressed the report, confirming D.O.’s status in a statement.

“D.O.’s exclusive contract with us will expire in early November,” the statement read. “Following thorough discussions with D.O., it has been decided that he will continue his EXO activities with SM, but will proceed with his acting and individual activities through the newly established agency founded by his and SM’s former manager.”

The news of D.O.’s departure comes shortly after it was reported that EXO members Chanyeol and Sehun will sign with a new agency. SM Entertainment refuted the reports but also indicated that the members can pursue individual activities with other companies.

“It is not true that Chanyeol and Sehun have moved to a new agency,” the statement read. “The contracts that EXO members signed with SM Entertainment at the end of last year remain valid, and EXO activities will continue to proceed under SM Entertainment.”

SM Entertainment continued, “However, in regards to the members’ individual activities, we have conditionally allowed them to proceed through their own established companies if they wish, within the terms of their existing exclusive contracts with SM.”

EXO released their seventh studio album ‘EXIST’ on July 10, 2023.

Two posters were also released, featuring the cast in rural attire and striking hilariously awkward poses. The first poster captures their playful and comical side, while the second poster highlights their genuine smiles against the scenic farm backdrop.

Produced by PD Na Young Suk, “You Reap What You Sow” adopts a lighthearted documentary style as it follows the four stars on their farming adventure in the countryside. With their collective inexperience in farming, viewers can also look forward to a series of humorous mishaps as they tackle the challenge of plowing a small field together.

The show’s tagline, “A Comic Documentary of Real Besties’ Facation (Farming Vacation),” hints at the heartwarming and comedic moments viewers can expect as these close friends embark on a unique farming journey. Na PD’s ‘You Reap What You Sow’ to Premiere in October

The upcoming variety show of Na Young Seok, aka Na PD, titled You Reap What You Sow (idiomatic translation) will air its first episode on October 13. 

tvN confirmed the news to Korean media on Friday, September 15. 

According to reports, You Reap What You Sow adopts a lighthearted documentary style. It will follow Kim Woo Bin, EXO’s D.O, Lee Kwang Soo, and Kim Ki Bang in their journey of farming in the countryside. 

However, none of the four main cast members have any knowledge and experience in farming. Which is why they naturally struggled with tasks, such as plowing a small field together. 

What we know so far about You Reap What You Sow

In July, rumors that Na PD is helming a new series circulated online. Videos of the four cast members filming in Gangwon and Seoul also circulated online. At the time, the producers remained tight-lipped about the series. 

Now, tvN even shared a photo of Woo Bin, D.O, Kwang Soo, and Ki Bang posing together while in farming attire. 

Additionally, the show will reportedly have 10 episodes and a broadcast time of 110 minutes. 

In You Reap What You Sow, variety veteran Kwang Soo will serve as the group’s leader. Not only will he showcase his humor, but his problem-solving skills. 

Meanwhile, Ki Bang is described as a “natural-born farmer.” Out of the four, he was the most reliable in doing farming tasks. 

As for D.O, the youngest member, he’ll use his wit and cooking skills throughout the show. 

Interestingly, You Reap What You Sow will serve as Woo Bin’s first variety show as a regular cast member. Which is why fans of the actor are looking forward to seeing a more fun side of him. 

Na PD’s other projects 

Aside from the cast members, fans are anticipating this new show helmed by Na PD. 

A known figure in South Korean entertainment, he was the one behind successful variety programs such as 2 Days & 1 Night, Grandpas Over Flowers, New Journey to the West, and Three Meals a Day.  

One of his latest projects is The Game Caterers, which features various K-pop idols. Some of the groups who guested on his show include BTS, SEVENTEEN, SNSD, artists from HYBE LABELS and Starship Entertainment. 

Moreover, he’s also confirmed to be filming a new edition of Youth Over Flowers, this time with SEVENTEEN.

EXO’s D.O Fined for Indoor Smoking

Singer D.O., a member of K-pop boy group EXO, has been reportedly fined for indoor smoking after netizens reported him to authorities. 

On Wednesday, September 6, Mapo Public Health Center released a statement about the idol’s violation. Such a statement came after clips of D.O. allegedly smoking indoors circulated on social media. 

In August, EXO released a behind-the-scenes video from the group’s promotions for their album EXIST. In one of the clips where the group was preparing backstage for their Music Core appearance, D.O. was allegedly smoking an electric cigarette at their waiting room. 

 

Eagle-eyed fans were quick to raise complaints about D.O‘s indoor smoking with the Mapo Public Health Center. According to the National Health Promotion Act, smoking in a non-smoking area can cost up to 100,000 KRW. 

 

In response to the complaints, the Mapo Public Health Center confirmed that D.O. has been fined for the violation. 

Moreover, Mapo Public Health Center revealed that D.O. and his agency SM Entertainment weren’t able to provide evidence that the idol was using a nicotine-free electronic cigarette. 

Aside from being fined, the Mapo Public Health Center also assured that the singer “has pledged to faithfully comply with the law as a public figure in the future.”

As of writing, D.O and SM Entertainment have yet to release a statement about the issue. 

D.O’s second solo album 

In other news, D.O. is preparing for his second solo album Anticipation (literal translation). Set for a September 18 release, Anticipation will feature seven songs. 

On Friday, September 7, he also dropped the pre-release song I Do.” The accompanying music video served as a sequel to D.O’s previous solo track “That’s Okay.” 

Additionally, Anticipation will mark D.O.’s solo comeback in more than two years. He made his solo debut with the album Empathy in July 2021.

Look: Exo’s D.O Drops Teaser for Solo Album ‘Expectation’

Save the date, EXO-Ls because soloist D.O. is back! EXO’s D.O. released on Friday, September 1, the teaser for his upcoming second solo mini album Expectation. 

In the teaser, the vocalist is seen sitting in front of a desk and deep in thought. Additionally, EXO’s official social media accounts also changed their icons to signify the start of a new era. 

 

According to reports, Expectation will consist of seven emotional tracks that will showcase D.O’s excellent vocal abilities.

 

Other details about Expectation have yet to be unveiled as of writing, but D.O. has already hinted about his second solo album. 

In a previous interview, the singer revealed that he finished the album preparations including the recording, filming for music videos, and jacket photos in May 2022. 

“I wanted to start preparing early so I have completed them before getting involved in other shoots. The album will consist of acoustic-like songs that I love so much.”, he said.

Additionally, D.O. promised that once the album is released, he’ll conduct an event where he can meet his fans. 

D.O. as a soloist

Following the news, EXO-Ls couldn’t help but to express their excitement as it’s been awhile since D.O. had a solo music release. Some are also anticipating the genre of his tracks since the vocalist is known to be one of the leading singers in the industry. 

On social media, fans of EXO are already calling it a “masterpiece” and “album of the year.” 

 

D.O. released his first solo album Empathy in July 2021. It topped the iTunes Top Album charts in 60 regions around the world. On top of that, the album excelled locally as well as it ranked No. 1 on South Korea’s daily album charts including Hanteo Chart, Synnara Record, and HOTTRACKS

The singer’s first album had a total of eight tracks including the Korean and English versions of its title track “Rose”, which he personally wrote lyrics for. Aside from “Rose,” D.O. also wrote the track I’m Fine.

 

Also, Empathy has two bonus songs: the English version of “Rose,” and “Si Fueras Mia,” the Spanish version of another B-side track, “It’s Love.

With the success of Empathy, it’s not surprising that fans can no longer wait to see what D.O. has to show as a soloist after two years.

Aside from his upcoming solo album Expectation, the artist also recently finished promoting EXO’s seventh full-length album EXIST and his film The Moon

Exo’s D.O Reveals Details About His Second Solo Album

Brace yourselves, EXO-Ls: D.O. of K-pop group EXO just confirmed that he’s about to release his second solo album! 

In an interview for the promotion of his movie The Moon, D.O, who goes by his real name Doh Kyungsoo in his acting ventures, opened up about being part of EXO, his acting career, and solo musical journey. 

On being a member of EXO and his solo music releases

The idol-actor looked back on EXO’s decade-old idol career, saying that it’s the “start of [his] life.” 

“I don’t really have friends of my age so I receive comfort and support from my members,” he explained. 

EXO released their seventh full-length album EXIST in July. It served as EXO’s first album as a full-group in two years. It has a total of nine songs, with Cream Soda” as its title track. 

As for his solo music career, D.O. surprised fans by saying that he’s just waiting for his second solo album to be released.

Additionally, he revealed that he has completed the recording, filming for music videos, and jacket photos in May 2022. 

“I wanted to start preparing early so I have completed them before getting involved in other shoots,” he shared. “The album will consist of acoustic-like songs that I love so much.”

However, additional details such as album name, title track, and release date weren’t disclosed.

His recent works include, Secret and The Moon. As for his next acting project, D.O. shared that he’s still thinking about it.
