Surprisingly, IU initially sought to collaborate with RM and not Suga. When asked about the type of song she would have created with RM, IU hinted that it might have been “something really serious,” reflecting her mindset at the time. However, despite obtaining RM’s contact information from Suga, IU never reached out to the BTS leader.

IU confessed that even asking for RM’s contact details required a significant amount of courage. However, being unfamiliar with RM and lacking a pre-existing connection, she hesitated to make the call and ultimately abandoned the idea of collaboration. It highlights the challenges artists may face in reaching out to potential collaborators, especially when there isn’t a pre-established relationship.

Interestingly, IU’s shift in interest led to the creation of “Eight,” a song that eventually became a collaboration with Suga. During the creative process, IU realized that working with someone her age would be more fitting for the project, and she deemed Suga, a fellow 1993-liner, as the ideal collaborator. The decision resulted in the successful and well-received collaboration between IU and Suga on “Eight.”

In a recent live broadcast on Weverse, BTS’s RM opened up about a recent eye injury, providing concerned ARMYs with an update on his condition. RM has a history of sharing his everyday life with fans in an unfiltered manner, creating a sense of trust between him and ARMYs.

Last week, RM had posted a story on his Instagram, revealing a sizable wound on his eyelid, prompting fans to express both concern for his well-being and curiosity about the cause of the injury. During the live broadcast, RM addressed these inquiries, explaining that the injury occurred while he was filming something, and the camera accidentally hit his face, resulting in heavy bleeding.

To treat the wound, RM underwent a procedure that required approximately five stitches. Despite the severity of the injury, RM reassured fans that it was healing adequately, although it has now developed into a bruise.

On the same day as the livestream, RM shared an Instagram update, showcasing the progress of the cut’s healing. Despite his reassurances, ARMYs remain heartbroken over the extent of his injury and have flooded him with well wishes for a speedy recovery. The incident has once again highlighted RM’s transparency with his fans, creating a strong bond between the BTS leader and the ARMY community.

In related news, Jungkook was recently interviewed by Zane Lowe for Apple Music, and the BTS member discussed his new album ‘GOLDEN’, his solo aspirations, his trainee days, hopes for the BTS’s 2025 reunion, and more. The “SEVEN” singer also addressed the “Golden Maknae” nickname which RM originally coined for him.

“Even in 20 or 30 years, I will always be the youngest, the ‘maknae.’ That will never change. And I don’t really dislike being called ‘maknae,’” Jungkook said.

On August 20, RM shared a video on BTS’ Weverse account. At first, ARMYs thought it was just another video featuring the rapper’s travels or art he found during his journeys. However, it turned out to be a brief workout video where Kim Namjoon shed his shirt and did his regular pull-ups.

Not surprisingly, the workout video already has fans going crazy. Although this might appear to be a regular thirst trap posted on Weverse, the always-talented ARMYs had creative ways of dealing with the post. For instance, one fan decided to take the educational route. They pointed out the various muscles on display in the video.

RM, who serves as BTS’ leader, embarked on his solo journey with a bang. In 2015, he dropped his debut solo mixtape titled “RM,” a move that marked his individual artistic prowess. Building on this foundation, RM unleashed his second mixtape, “Mono,” in 2018. Notably, “Mono” etched its name in history by becoming the highest-charting album by a Korean soloist in the United States, ascending to an impressive number 26 on the prestigious Billboard 200 chart.

The pinnacle of Kim Namjoon’s solo career arrived in 2022 when he officially debuted with his studio album “Indigo.” This remarkable release featured collaborations with acclaimed artists like Erykah Badu and Anderson .Paak. The album skyrocketed to number three on the Billboard 200, cementing RM’s status as the highest-charting Korean soloist ever on this prestigious chart. His solo journey continues to be a testament to his talent and global appeal.

RM Assures Armys That BTS Will ‘Be Back for Sure’ in 2025

Following BTS’ hiatus from group activities in June 2022, the members have been focused on their solo ventures. But despite these series of individual releases, ARMYs couldn’t help but miss seeing the seven members together. 

On August 12, RM held a livestream wherein he opened up about BTS reconvening as a full group, as well as his thoughts on their hiatus and solo activities. 

 

RM’s statement came after he read a heartfelt letter from a fan who expressed how BTS meant a lot to them. In their message, the ARMY also shared how they’ll patiently wait for 2025 to see the group as a whole  again. 

In response, the BTS leader assured the group’s supporters that the members are also looking forward to them reuniting. 

“What I’m thinking these days when I’m doing my solo projects is, this is just like a vacation to get back to where I was,” he said. “Which is BTS and ARMY. So all this solo (work) is just a journey.” 

But RM also emphasized the significance of these individual ventures. “It is a very important journey for chapter two. But it’s a journey to get back home safe. And eventually, we’ll get back and reunite together in 2025. 

BTS’ love for ARMYs 

RM also took the opportunity to convey how BTS never took their fans’ support and love for granted. He added that even with their solo ventures, ARMYs are always put into consideration. 

“I hope our songs and solo projects could be  another reminder to you guys of how important ARMY was has been, and will be in our lives at the same time,” he said. 

The rapper continued that all the other BTS members are also deeply appreciative of their dedicated throng of supporters. 

“This is a greatness of love. When I face this kind of love, I feel like it’s irresistible. And that’s what makes me go through all those trials and hardships and shits happening in life,” RM added. 

What the BTS members have been up to 

Since June 2022, all seven members of BTS have had their solo releases. 

Jin released his single “The Astronaut” in October 2022, while RM released his solo album Indigo in December 2022. 

Meanwhile, Jimin featured on BIGBANG Taeyang’s “Vibe” and released his solo debut album Face in March 2023. 

On the other hand, Suga started his web talk show Suchwita. He also released the album D-Day in April 2023 and embarked on his solo concert world tour. 

As for j-hope, he released Jack In The Box in July 2022 and headlined Lollapalooza festival. After that, a Disney+ documentary series about these solo projects was also released. 

Then, Jungkook collaborated with Charlie Puth for “Left and Right.” In July 2023, he released his single “Seven.” 

Lastly, member V has participated in series In the Soop: Friendcation and Jinny’s Kitchen. Now, he’s about to make his solo debut with the album Layover, which will be out on September 8. 

Also, two BTS members, Jin and j-hope are currently serving in the military. Furthermore, Suga has also started the military enlistment process.

BTS’ RM Delivers Inspirational Speech as MAKRI Ambassador

RM is proving that the MDA (Ministry of National Defense) Agency for KIA (Killed in Action) Recovery & Identification chose right. The BTS leader delivered an inspiring speech at his appointment ceremony as the new public relations ambassador for MAKRI.

On June 1, RM attended the MAKRI appointment ceremony as the organization’s new PR ambassador. During the ceremony, the BTS rapper accepted his new role with a gracious speech.

“First of all, it is a sincere honor to serve such great people as the public relations ambassador for the KIA Recovery and Identification Organization. This year marks the 10th anniversary of BTS’ debut,” Kim Namjoon said.

“Over the past 10 years, we have conveyed numerous messages through diverse songs and campaigns,” he added. “However, I have often reflected on how to reciprocate the love that we’ve received from our Korean fans and fellow citizens.”

“It started with an interest in what I can do to express and represent my love for Korea and its culture,” RM continued. “Visiting museums showcasing Korea’s traditional ancient art and modern, contemporary Korean art was integral to this personal exploration.”

“I sincerely believe that BTS and I can dare to be here in 2023 because there are many people who have worked hard in their respective positions until the country, which was devastated by the Korean War and more, prospered beautifully like this. We give you our infinite gratitude and respect.”

RM Explains How MAKRI Helps South Korean Citizens

RM then shared how being the new ambassador for MAKRI is in line with BTS’ goals. He also explained how the organization helps the citizens of South Korea reunite with lost relatives.

“Lastly, I am honored and proud of myself because I was able to participate in meaningful work with the many people who participated in this event today. I will also work hard to become helpful to the KIA Recovery and Identification Organization even a little. Thank you,” the rapper concluded.

RM and the rest of BTS are currently preparing for their 10th-anniversary celebration BTS Festa 2023 which kicked off on June 1, 2023.

BTS’ J-Hope Sends Sweet Message for Parents While in Military Service

J-Hope might be serving his country right now but he is always looking out for Mom and Dad. The BTS main dancer unveiled some cute artwork for Parents Day. The artwork also includes a sweet message for his mother and father.

J-Hope Shares Adorable Drawing and Heartfelt Message for Parents’ Day

The Camp is a special website where people can stay updated with loved ones serving in the Korean military. On May 7, the website shared a photo of J-Hope showing off an adorable drawing for Parents’ Day. The illustration also features a sweet message for Jung Hoseok’s parents.

“Mom, Dad, I’m greeting you in celebration of Parents’ Day,” he wrote. “Thank you for giving birth to and raising me. I love you. Your son, Hoseok.”

It’s a sweet message that would make J-Hope’s mother and father truly proud. In addition to that, the illustration is extra special as it was drawn by the “On The Street” rapper just for Mom and Dad.

Although J-Hope was able to share a heartfelt message to his parents, it looks like he is having trouble contacting his fellow BTS member. Jin previously posted a message under the rapper’s latest update on Weverse.

“Have you not been able to call? Because you have been reading the room. Have you received the letters that I have sent well?” Jin wrote under a fan’s comment. He also joked about keeping an eye on his dongsaeng.

“Are you hurt anywhere? Have you shaved your friends’ hair? Is the food that is served there good? There’s a long time to go until you get a vacation,” Kim Seokjin wrote. “I’m spending my military life looking at you.”

J-Hope enlisted for mandatory military service on April 18, about four months after Jin’s enlistment. He is then expected to be discharged by October 17, 2024.

RM is sharing his feelings with ARMYs as BTS draws closer to a major milestone. The BTS leader posted an honest message addressed to his fans. Interestingly, the message reveals how he feels about the group’s 10th anniversary.

RM Reveals Feelings About BTS’ 10th Anniversary

Kim Namjoon recently posted a lengthy update on Weverse. In his post, the BTS rapper greeted ARMYs before sharing his feelings about the 10th anniversary.

“Hello everyone. It’s been a long time. Hope you all are doing well. I’m getting along all right, just trying my best to live in the present,” RM wrote.

“These days I am discovering more about who I am,” he added. “There are times when there are an endless amount of words I want to say, but I forget them quickly. It’s been ten years since we came out to the world. How are you guys? Are you ok?”

“Sometimes, no, often times, I wonder. How you’re doing, your thoughts, hope and despair, what you believe in now, what you want to believe, what you are chasing, if you feel the seasons well,” RM continued. “As I’ve said several times before, it’s getting harder and harder to open my mouth. I don’t know. I guess I am learning to be more silent as I become an adult.”

“Many sad things become happy, and happy things become sad. I sometimes feel unfamiliar when I watch the videos and words I have said in the past. I can hardly remember anymore,” he added. “It’s strange that these things are becoming dull and sad, and empty. The confidence that I’ve had sometimes disappears. I guess this is just how I am right now.”

“I’m curious and afraid of what it will be like after I return. Time goes by so fast, and everything changes, even me,” RM wrote. “I don’t want to ask for all the love irresponsibly, and I don’t want to cling to you. Rather than wandering around looking for love, if I stay in love and I put in the effort, I want to believe that love will come to me naturally.”

RM Expresses Gratitude For ARMYs’ Ongoing Support for BTS

RM then pointed out that BTS’ 10th anniversary is coming and expressed his feelings of gratitude to his supporters.

“It’s our ten-year anniversary soon. It’s sad that there are things that are getting more and more difficult as the dust piles over time and our hearts. But in a way, maybe that’s just how it is with the weight of our hearts. That means that the pieces we’ve shared are that big,” he wrote. “I am humbled and give thanks every day. I will continue to reminisce about what was a part of me, and as always, I will be fine. Will have been pp (passive participle).”

It is noted that the last line “will have been pp (past participle)” implies he is good, he is doing good, and that he will be doing good.

RM concluded with a sweet message for ARMYs.

“Although you will have a lot of hard times, and it may be very painful, please be well! I will be curious sometimes and often! My words and my letters are the way I give you my love,” he wrote. “This is my current state now. Be careful of the rain and cold! By the time you forget about me again, I will find you again. Stay healthy!”

Kim Namjoon had previously confirmed he intended to enlist for military service at the same time as J-Hope. However, the BTS leader chose to delay his enlistment to finish a project.

“I was actually planning to enlist around the same time as J-Hope but I had to push it back because of this project,” he said.

BTS will celebrate their 10th anniversary since debut on June 12, 2023.

BTS RM Shares Military Enlistment Update

RM will be the next BTS member who will enlist for military service. Kim Namjoon shared an update on his mandatory military enlistment. He also revealed that he chose to delay enlisting because of an important reason.

RM Reveals Military Enlistment Plans With J-Hope

The BTS leader shared the update during his latest Weverse Livestream. During the broadcast, RM admitted he was originally planning to enlist at the same time as J-Hope. However, he chose to postpone the enlistment in order to complete a new project.

“I was actually planning to enlist around the same time as J-Hope but I had to push it back because of this project,” he said.

The “Wild Flower” rapper then confirmed that military enlistment is still part of his plans despite the delay.

“I think I will go after I complete this,” he stated.

RM Teases New Project Before Enlisting For Military Service

Kim Namjoon did not reveal whether he is working on new music or a completely different project. However, ARMYs are already waiting for updates from the BTS rapper.

RM was recently announced as the new brand ambassador for Bottega Veneta. The brand’s creative director Matthieu Blazy confirmed the news on Instagram and the BTS leader confirmed it with his own post.

J-Hope enlisted in the 36th New Military Education Center in Wonju on April 18. RM and the rest of BTS were present to support the rapper. Jin, who was the first member to enlist, took a leave of absence to give Jung Hoseok a proper send-off.

For now, two members of BTS have enlisted for military service. RM is expected to announce his enlistment before the end of the year. Suga, who is the second eldest member, might also enlist when he finishes his solo world tour in late 2023. Stay tuned for more updates on this story.
