NCT‘s newest unit, NCT WISH, is all set for an impressive debut at the Tokyo Dome on February 21. The group’s first stage performance of their single “Wish” will take place at the SMTOWN LIVE 2024: SMCU Palace in Tokyo event.

The group’s motto is “WISH for Our WISH,” signifying their mission to bring dreams to life through their music. NCT WISH’s goal is to make a splash in Japan and Korea. That’s why their single will be available in two versions—Japanese and Korean. Fans can look forward to streaming “Wish” when it officially drops on February 28 at 6:00 PM.

The sextet was formed on the survival show NCT Universe : LASTART. NCT WISH has two Korean members—Jaehee and Sion—and four Japanese members. They are Riku, Riyo, Sakuya, and Yushi. Long before their official debut, they made waves in Japan with 24 successful pre-debut shows in nine Japanese cities. This bodes well for when they officially enter the music scene.

A significant milestone for NCT WISH

This year’s SMTOWN LIVE 2024: SMCU Palace in Tokyo marks the 20th edition of the SMTOWN LIVE series. The event is returning to the Tokyo Dome after a year and a half, moving from its usual summer slot to a winter schedule. The lineup is star-studded, featuring SM Entertainment’s top acts such as aespa, Hyoyeon, Kangta, Red Velvet, Super Junior, Taeyeon, and TVXQ. Like NCT WISH, the rookie group RIIZE will also participate in this series for the first time.

The Tokyo Dome, located in Tokyo’s Bunkyo area, is the city’s largest concert venue with a capacity of 55,000. Since its opening on March 17, 1988, it has hosted many major artists and events, establishing itself as a prestigious platform for any performer. American singer Bruno Mars, for instance, recently performed seven shows there.

For NCT WISH to make their debut at this iconic venue is a significant milestone. More than just a showcase of their talent, it will lay a strong foundation for their future in the music industry.– K-Pop News Writer
