Cha Eunwoo Confirms Appearance on ‘Return of Superman’

This appearance comes nearly three years after his last visit to the show in August 2021. When the episode airs, viewers will see him meet the first son of fencer Kim Junho, who shares his name.

The anticipation around Cha Eunwoo‘s return to the show is high. The last time he was on Return of Superman, he and fellow ASTRO member MJ spent time with the three young children of retired soccer player Park Jooho. Known for his talent and visuals, his behavior on the show earned him the nickname “genius of childcare.” He did so well with Naeun, Jinwoo, and Gunhoo that fans are excited to see how he’ll interact with 27-month-old Kim Eunwoo. The connection between Cha Eunwoo and Kim Eunwoo was first brought up on a previous episode of the show, where Kim Junho name-checked the ASTRO member. In that episode, which aired on the 23rd of last month, the fencer and his son were watching the sunrise together to celebrate the New Year. Suddenly, Kim Jun-ho said, “There’s a really handsome uncle named Cha Eunwoo who has the same name as Eunwoo. May Eunwoo be as successful as Uncle Cha Eunwoo. This year is for Cha Eunwoo and Kim Eunwoo.”

The production team also actively courted the idol by adding a caption to the scene that said, “Uncle Cha Eunwoo, we must meet.”

ASTRO Releases Digital Single ‘Circles’ for Eighth Anniversary

On February 23, at 6:00 PM KST, ASTRO surprised fans with the release of their digital single “Circles” to commemorate the eighth anniversary of their debut. This release serves as a heartfelt token of appreciation to their fans, known as AROHA, who have supported them throughout these eight years. The song’s lyrics were penned with the involvement of leader Jinjin, who also contributed to the song’s composition and production.

ASTRO Mark Birthday of Late Moon Bin With Posts, Song Covers

Fandom hug, AROHAs! January 26, 2024 became an emotional day for fans of K-pop group ASTRO as it marked the first birthday of Moon Bin since his passing. The late singer was supposed to turn 26 years old. 

As a way of honoring his memories, his fellow ASTRO members all crafted their respective posts to reminisce their moments with Moon Bin. 

On ASTRO’s official X account, MJ, the eldest member, greeted the late star with a sweet message and some photos. “Our Bin~ Happy Birthday. I love you and I miss you my younger brother,” he wrote. 

Meanwhile, the group’s leader, JinJin, also shared his greetings on the social media platform. In his heartwarming caption, JinJin said that he should have taken more pictures with the late singer. “You should have a happier day than anyone else. I love you, my little brother,” the singer said as he ended his post.

Aside from sweet messages, Eun Woo and Sanha also prepared song covers dedicated to Moon Bin.

As for Eun Woo, he commemorated his late friend’s day by performing a cover of SLANDER’s “Love is Gone.” Shared through his Youtube channel, Eun Woo emotionally sang the song while playing the piano. 

Moreover, Eun Woo’s rendition of the said track was even made more sentimental with his personal letter for Bin. In his message, the idol-actor shared that he gets strength from remembering Bin. “Whenever I think of you, I work harder. Whenever I want to see you again and have a difficult time, I steady my heart,” he wrote.

Lastly, Sanha, the group’s youngest member and Bin’s partner in the ASTRO sub-unit, shared a wistful cover of JAURIM’s “25, 21.” Putting his heart into the song, Sanha changed the lyrics to “26, 24” to signify Bin and his current ages.

In the tribute video, Sanha also relayed his birthday greeting to the departed idol. Addressing his hyung, the idol wrote: “You know this song right? I really wish you a happy birthday. You might not like it but it’s my gift. I’ll be looking forward to my birthday gift too.”

Aside from the ASTRO members, Moon Bin’s other friends in the entertainment industry also celebrated his birthday in their respective ways. Several of Bin’s friends, who are fondly called as 98z-line, shared their greetings on social media.

To note, the 98-liners friend group is composed of SEVENTEEN’s Seungkwan, VIVIZ members SinB and Umji, ex-UNI.T member Suji, and IMFACT’s Ungjae paid. All of them paid tribute to Bin by celebrating his birthday together with the group’s photo on his cake.

Moreover, SEVENTEEN’s Woozi also dedicated the release of his solo track “What Kind of Future” to the late idol. To recall, the producer has previously promised that he will release the song on Bin’s birthday. According to Woozi, the ASTRO member was fond of the said track.

Cha Eunwoo’s younger brother is causing quite a stir online, with fans and netizens agreeing that their family’s visuals are no joke.

Based on these photos, it’s easy to see why it didn’t take long for netizens to recognize him as Cha Eunwoo’s brother. Eunwoo’s real name is Lee Dongmin, and he was born in Gunpo, Gyeonggi, South Korea on March 30, 1997. His younger brother, Lee Donghwi, is two years his junior. During a previous appearance on the JTBC variety show Knowing Brothers, Eunwoo was asked what his dongsaeng has been up to. He said, “He completed his military service. He’s working part-time.” However, this particular episode aired nearly three years ago, on April 17, 2021, so Lee Donghwi’s current status remains unknown.

On October 11, the MBC FM4U radio show “Two O’Clock Date with JaeJae” hosted the lead cast of MBC’s upcoming drama “A Good Day to Be a Dog” as special guests. The primary cast is composed of Park Gyu Young, Cha Eun Woo, and Lee Hyun Woo.

During the radio broadcast, a curious listener inquired about the on-screen dynamics between the actors and the real canine co-star in the series. Park Gyu Young said, “Since, in the scenario, my character turns into a dog, when it comes to talking about chemistry, I think Eunwoo will have a lot to say.”

That’s when Cha Eun Woo opened up about working with a furry co-star. “I actually had to film a genuine kissing scene with a dog,” he said. The idol then pointed out that working with a dog was not as easy as it sounds.

“The puppy was adorable, but it just wouldn’t focus. It wouldn’t even kiss me,” Cha said. He also admitted that he had to take extra measures to ensure the dog would work with him.

“To initiate the kissing scene, I had to apply ‘Churu’ – a pet snack – on my mouth to coax it to kiss (lick my lips),” Cha said.

“A Good Day to Be a Dog” is the latest MBC drama featuring Cha Eun Woo. It is an adaptation of the popular Naver webtoon written by Lee Hye. The story revolves around a woman cursed to transform into a dog whenever she kisses someone and a man with an irrational fear of dogs who, ironically, holds the sole known remedy to break the enchantment.

How are we feeling, ArmyCarats? BTS’ Jungkook delighted fans anew when he recently showcased his tight friendship with SEVENTEEN members Mingyu and Seungkwan.

On Wednesday, October 4, the BTS member posted a video clip of doing the “3D” dance challenge with Mingyu. “3D” is Jungkook’s latest digital single, which featured American rapper Jack Harlow.

Before that, the 97-liners first surprised the K-pop world when they danced to SEVENTEEN’s “Super.” Prior to the release of the said TikTok challenge, the BTS member also talked about learning the choreography for “Super” on his Weverse Live in several accounts.

Although Jungkook has done challenges with other K-pop idols to promote his track, Mingyu remains as the only artist featured in his personal TikTok account.

For fans, the dance challenges just proved the adorable friendships between two K-pop idols. And while fans are already well aware of Jungkook’s friendship with Mingyu, the BTS member has also apparently developed a close bond with the other SEVENTEEN members as well.

Shortly after, Jungkook also left remarks in the live through Mingyu’s account. The BTS member warmly greeted CARATs and stated that he will do a SEVENTEEN challenge next time. “CARATs, please support us,” Jungkook said.

Furthermore, Jungkook also confessed how much he misses the younger idol. 

The whole situation even became more chaotic when Wonwoo also made a sudden appearance in the comment section. There, the rapper revealed that he was the one who took Jungkook and Mingyu’s “3D” challenge.

Moreover, Seungkwan’s live was suddenly cut short since he was receiving a call from Jungkook. Following the brief exchange, he had to explain to the viewers that Jungkook, Wonwoo and Mingyu were hanging out with ASTRO’s Cha Eun Woo, who’s also part of the 97-line friend group. 

Because of this, Seungkwan was prompted to share how close he is with Jungkook and Eun Woo, even though they’re from a different group. Additionally, the SEVENTEEN vocalist shared that the 97-line friend group often contact him when they need a mood maker while they’re hanging out. 

With all these interactions in just a single day, fans of both BTS and SEVENTEEN can’t help but gush over the sweet friendship between the two groups. And they also remain hopeful for more interactions given that both acts will make a comeback around the same time. 

SEVENTEEN is set to drop their 11th Mini Album Seventeenth Heaven on October 23. Meanwhile, Jungkook will also release his first solo album Golden on November 3.
