V has achieved a historic milestone on the Billboard 200, solidifying his position as a record-breaking artist in the global music industry. The success comes with the BTS member’s solo album ‘Layover’, which continues to dominate global charts.

‘Layover’ Celebrates 7th Week in the Billboard 200

V made his solo debut with the album ‘Layover’ in September, which promptly landed on the Billboard 200 chart at an impressive No. 2. The remarkable achievement equalled the record set by his fellow BTS members Jimin and Suga as the highest-ranking Korean solo albums on the chart.

The latest feat ensured V’s status as the first K-pop solo artist to maintain a presence on the Billboard 200 for seven consecutive weeks. Since its debut, ‘Layover’ has retained a spot on the chart, and for the week ending on November 4, it impressively held position at No. 160.

‘Layover’ is only the second Korean solo album to have achieved such longevity on the Billboard 200. V’s bandmate RM previously charted for seven weeks with his solo album ‘Indigo’, albeit with non-consecutive weeks.

Beyond the Billboard 200, ‘Layover’ climbed to No. 13 on Billboard’s Top Current Album Sales chart and No. 18 on the Top Album Sales chart during its seventh week on both charts.

V’s title track “Slow Dancing” also maintained its presence on the Billboard charts as well. It ascended to No. 30 on the Billboard Global Excl. U.S. chart and No. 54 on the Global 200 chart during its seventh week. His pre-release single “Love Me Again” also saw success, re-entering the charts at No. 116 on the Global Excl. U.S. chart during its 11th week.

V’s impact as a solo artist extended to the Billboard Artist 100, where he secured the No. 83 position, marking his ninth appearance on the chart, showcasing the enduring influence of his solo work. V’s groundbreaking achievements underscore his status as an exceptional artist, not only within the K-pop realm but also on the international music stage.

‘Layover’ was released on September 8, 2023.

BTS’s Jungkook Shares Yummy Buldak Ramyeon Porridge Recipe

BTS’s Jungkook is known for his culinary creativity and he also wants to share one of his best recipes with his fans! The BTS maknae has revealed the recipe for his yummy and satisfying Buldak Ramyeon porridge for the first time!

Jungkook Shares His Buldak Ramyeon Porridge Recipe

Jungkook is currently promoting his solo album ‘GOLDEN’ and one of his activities included an interview with K-Pop ON! Spotify. During the interview, the BTS maknae ate some of his favorite food and he also disclosed an exclusive recipe for Buldak Ramyeon Porridge. The unique twist on ramyun provides a delightful, flavorful snack for the “Seven” singer and he also believes his fans will enjoy it as well.

Jungkook’s recipe deviates from the usual ramyun preparation. He starts by breaking up the ramyun noodles and bringing them to a boil, using 500ml of water and the ramyun seasoning. To infuse the dish with his signature fiery flair, he suggests adding half a spoonful of Buldak hot sauce for those who enjoy a spicy kick.

As the mixture simmers, Jungkook also introduces an element of texture and flavor by including crushed seaweed or seaweed flakes. To keep the calories in check, he incorporates konjac rice, a low-calorie alternative. This rice is often mixed with traditional brown rice to create a unique texture.

Jungkook’s love for perilla oil is evident as he includes it in the recipe. The savory oil also imparts a rich umami flavor to the porridge. To enhance the overall taste, he also finishes the dish with a sprinkling of pepper.

Konjac Rice Makes The Recipe Work

Typically, combining porridge and ramyun would result in a carb-heavy delight. However, Jungkook’s innovative use of konjac rice addresses this concern by providing a satisfying and flavorful alternative that keeps you feeling full. His Buldak Ramyeon Porridge is also a testament to his culinary prowess and flair for reinventing classic dishes with a personal touch. Fans and food enthusiasts alike can also enjoy this delectable creation and savor the unique blend of flavors in Jungkook’s one-of-a-kind recipe.

Jungkook’s new album ‘GOLDEN’ was released on November 3, 2023.
