In explaining the title ‘Blossom’, Doh said, “The album’s keyword is the subject matter from my experience that I wanted to talk about the most right now. After all, in our lives, we all grow one step at a time. We grow even as we feel pain, and we grow even when we’re struggling. I really wanted [this album] to be an opportunity for everyone who listens to it—and also for me—to become a bit sturdier.”
He then spoke about his upcoming solo fan tour, admitting his nervousness about going on his own. “Up until now, I’ve always promoted with my [fellow EXO] members, so I didn’t have many opportunities to stand on stage alone,” he explained. “During this fan-con tour of Asia, I’ll be singing multiple songs on my own. So I’m really nervous, but I’m also equally excited. When I see the eyes of my fans on stage, I gain a ton of energy. That huge energy I receive becomes my driving force.”
Doh also discussed the show “GBRB: Reap What You Sow” where he tried farming for the first time.
“When I saw the older man next door farming, it looked so easy,” he remarked, “but after briefly becoming a farmer, I realized that it was an amazing job that not anyone can do.”
He then added, “When I eat, I’m definitely not going to leave any perilla leaves or lettuce on the table [uneaten]. I’m also going to finish all my rice no matter what, without leaving any of it uneaten.”
D.O.’s mini album ‘Blossom’ will be released on May 7, 2024.
