Kim So Hye is ready for her acting comeback. The former I.O.I. member is confirmed to return to acting in the upcoming KBS drama “My Lovely Boxer.” The new drama, which also stars Lee Sang Yup and WINNER member Kim Jin Woo, recently held a press conference to promote the drama.

On August 21, Kim So Hye graced the press conference for KBS2’s upcoming Monday-Tuesday drama, ‘My Lovely Boxer.’ In attendance were the drama’s directors, Choi Sang Yeol and Hong Eun Mi, along with the stellar cast including Lee Sang Yup, Kim So Hye, Park Jin Woo, and more. Kim So Hye’s return to the screen is generating substantial interest.

‘My Lovely Boxer’ promises to be a heartwarming narrative, portraying the journey of a ruthless sports agent, Kim Tae Young (played by Lee Sang Yup), who’s known for exploiting athletes until their breaking point for profit. However, his life takes a different turn when he’s tasked with resurrecting the career of former boxer Lee Kwon Sook (played by Kim So Hye), who vanished from the ring three years ago.

Kim So Hye’s return to the entertainment scene and her role in this intriguing drama are poised to captivate audiences anew, drawing attention and anticipation for her comeback and the compelling storyline of ‘My Lovely Boxer.’

‘My Lovely Boxer’ will also star Park Ji-hwan who portrays Kim Oh-bok, a seasoned match-fixer with a professional touch. Kim Hyung-mook takes on the role of Lee Chul-yong, Kwon-sook’s father, and a former WBA lightweight champion. Ha Seung-ri steps into the character of Jeong Su-yeon, the team leader at About Sports. Kim Jin-woo assumes the role of Han Jae-min, who happens to be Kwon-sook’s first love.

‘My Lovely Boxer’ will premiere on KBS on August 21, 2023.
