Look: aespa’s Karina Is Converse Korea’s Newest Ambassador

Here comes the new face of Converse! On January 3, Converse Korea announced that they have selected Karina of girl group aespa as the newest ambassador for the brand.

After releasing a couple of hints and teasers earlier, Converse has officially confirmed that Karina will be participating in the brand’s spring campaign. Notably, the specific campaign will have the tagline: “Create Next, Nothing’s Wrong.” According to reports, the brand aims to deliver a message of support to the younger generation through this specific campaign with the idol. 

After the announcement, Converse Korea’s official Instagram account also followed the aespa member. Additionally, they also changed their Instagram bio to “De Luxe Collection with Karina.”

Moreover, the brand’s campaign video and pictorial featuring the idol is now available for viewing via Converse’s official website.

On social media, fans of aespa quickly expressed their delight in the idol’s latest ambassadorship. While the brand has been dropping hints that they’ll have Karina onboard, fans were still ecstatic to have it officially announced. As well as finally seeing the idol’s photos for the brand.

With this news, Converse Korea is now the latest addition to the aespa member’s list of brand partnerships. 

Aside from Converse, Karina has also been selected by CHIC Magazine as the front page cover for their January 2024 issue. Interestingly, this will be the singer’s first cover appearance in a Chinese magazine.

Prior to that, she was also appointed as a model for Lotte Chilsung’s new beer “Kloud Krush” late last year.

Proving that her visuals go beyond the stage and brands, Karina has also been named as one of the top 20 most popular K-pop female idols in December 2023. According to the Korean Business Research Institute, Karina ranked 14th in the list.

In other news, aespa has recently made an appearance at the Kross K-Pop Concert in Japan. Despite an earthquake hitting Japan a few days ago, the event proceeded with a number of artists in the lineup. There, Karina, Ningning, Giselle and Winter tore up the stage with a performance of their latest track “Drama.”

RIIZE Named as Louis Vuitton Ambassadors

Make way for the newest fashion icons! Monster rookies RIIZE have been tapped as the newest faces of the luxury fashion house Louis Vuitton. 

On December 11, the newest boy group from SM Entertainment was announced as the latest addition to the prestigious brand. 

“The Maison is pleased to welcome the members of RIIZEShotaro, Eunseok, Sungchan, Seunghan, Wonbin, Sohee, and Anton — as House Ambassadors,” Louis Vuitton shared on social media.

On their own social media accounts, the group also shared the good news. “RIIZE’s ‘another level’ of influence that the global fashion world also paid attention to!”

Despite being relatively new in the K-pop scene, Louis Vuitton wholeheartedly put their trust in the rookies.

RIIZE has established an unrivaled presence since their debut, attracting attention from around the world with its unique style, personality and music,” the brand explained. According to a press release, the fashion house expressed their excitement in future collaborations with the group. “We plan to continue our journey with RIIZE whom we will create a vision with together,” they said. 

A week after the announcement, the “Memories” singers also released the behind-the-scenes clips of their Louis Vuitton photoshoot on their Youtube channel. In the 11-minute video, the members were seen flaunting their visuals while wearing pieces from the luxury brand.

With the group officially named as its ambassador, they will now be joining the likes of BTS’ J-Hope, Stray Kids’ Felix, and girl group NewJeans in the Louis Vuitton family.

RIIZE continues to dominate

Notably, being tapped as Louis Vuitton ambassadors is another testament to the group’s impact beyond the music industry. With this, the seven-piece act continues to prove their status as the ‘best rookie’ in 2023. To note, it has only been three months since the group debuted with the single album Get a Guitar on September 4.

Carrying this achievement to end the year, the boys are now gearing up to return early in 2024 after their successful arrival in the music scene.

According to SM Entertainment, the group will be making a comeback next year with a new single on January 5. Although other details have yet to be released, the label has already asked for the fans’ support and interest.

With the upcoming comeback, the septet will be returning with new music in just two months. In October, the group released the single Talk Saxy.” 

Although highly-anticipated, the group is currently promoting with six members only as member Seunghan is on indefinite hiatus.

Etude House, in their official announcement on Twitter, teased the fans with the prospect of re-releasing several fan-favorite shades of eyeshadow. These shades will be featured in casette-shaped palettes, creating a nostalgic and stylish appeal for beauty enthusiasts.

The collaboration posters prominently showcase SHINee members Key, Minho, and Taemin, who are seen flaunting the new eyeshadow palettes. The visuals are not only aesthetically pleasing but also generate excitement among fans who are eager to explore the revived products.

‘REPLAY’ Campaign Only Features 3 SHINee Members

Notably absent from the campaign is SHINee’s Onew, who is currently on hiatus. SM Entertainment, in a statement released on June 9, revealed that Onew, also known as Lee Jinki, decided to take a temporary break due to health issues. The agency shared that Onew had sought medical consultation, and it was recommended that he take some time off to focus on his well-being.

While Onew is not part of the latest Etude House campaign, his absence is understood to be related to his ongoing health hiatus. The singer had reassured fans earlier that he is dedicated to prioritizing his health and would return when he is ready.

The collaboration between SHINee and Etude House not only brings together the worlds of K-pop and beauty but also taps into the nostalgia of fans by reviving iconic products. The use of casette-shaped palettes adds a retro touch, making the campaign visually appealing and creating anticipation among consumers. Look: Seventeen’s Joshua Is New Givenchy Beauty Ambassador

SEVENTEEN member Joshua has been tapped as the latest ambassador of cosmetic brand Givenchy Beauty. 

On Friday, December 1, Givenchy Beauty introduced the K-pop idol as the newest addition to their growing roster. Based on the photos and website, Joshua’s inaugural campaign will center around the theme of “Prism Libre” and “Prism Libre Skin Care Ring Corrector.” 

Notably, this isn’t the first time that Joshua has worked with Givenchy Beauty. To recall, he and fellow SEVENTEEN member Jun have previously appeared in a video for the brand. In the clip, they posed with the lipstick and perfume products from the Prism Libre collection. 

Now that he’s officially an ambassador for Givenchy Beauty, he’ll be joining the likes of Hyungwon from MONSTA X and Nayeon from TWICE

For Joshua, aligning with Givenchy Beauty felt like a natural fit, as he has long admired the brand. In his statement posted on the site, the SEVENTEEN member expressed his happiness in the new partnership. 

“I am very happy and honored to have been chosen as an ambassador for Givenchy Beauty, a brand that I have always loved. And at the same time, I am excited about my future endeavors. I feel that this is a unique yet witty side to it. I am very much looking forward to expressing myself together with such a brand,” he said. 

Meanwhile, Givenchy Beauty is also delighted with having the SEVENTEEN member onboard. According to the brand, the idol’s diverse charms resonated with their image.

“We believe that Joshua, a talented and creative artist, is the perfect personality to serve as Givenchy’s beauty ambassador and to represent the charm of Prism Libre,” the brand said. 

Eventful 2023 for Joshua 

Being the new brand ambassador of Givenchy Beauty is the latest addition to a jam-packed year for Joshua. In February, he also modeled for NBA Korea’s 23SS collection. In September, he attended the Paris Fashion Week for the brand Marni

Additionally, he also participated in the variety show Bro and Marble and featured in  SEVENTEEN’s remix collaboration with New Kids on The Block

aespa’s Winter Is New Global Ambassador of Polo Ralph Lauren

Winter of K-pop girl group aespa has been chosen as the first solo brand ambassador for Polo Ralph Lauren. 

On Monday, November 20, the globally recognized fashion powerhouse proudly introduced Winter as its newest official face. Additionally, the announcement was accompanied by images of the idol in the brand’s Fall and Holiday collections for 2023. 

According to media reports, Ralph Lauren Korea was all-praises for the aespa member. “Winter, who has received much love from fans as the representative all-rounder of a girl group who stands out in many fields, is the person who can perfectly portray the classic designs and aristocratic images that shows Polo Ralph Lauren’s originality,” they said. 

In the photos, Winter was praised for effortlessly looking elegant while showcasing the brand’s chic outfits and accessories.

One of the photos showed the idol in a chic, knitted cream-colored sweater paired with a matching beret cap. Another photo featured the aespa member in a black midi-dress with a red plaid skirt and styled with brown leather boots. 

On social media, fans couldn’t help but praise how the artist complemented the fashion brand’s pieces. Moreover, fans have been eagerly anticipating this moment of Winter being tapped as a global ambassador since April 2023 as she has previously graced the cover of a leading magazine where she also wore pieces from Polo Ralph Lauren.

With this, Winter joins the growing list of K-pop idols making waves in the fashion industry. Other stars who are brand ambassadors include BTS’ V for Cartier, TWICE’s Dahyun for Michael Kors, and SEVENTEEN’s DK for Bally.

Look: Jay Park Is the New Gucci Ambassador

Gucci, the esteemed luxury fashion house, has welcomed a notable addition to its roster of brand ambassadors. The latest face to join the illustrious brand is none other than hip-hop and R&B artist  Jay Park

Prior to being introduced as an ambassador, Jay Park has previously attended the Gucci Cruise 2024 fashion show at Gyeongbokgung Palace in Seoul in May. With this ambassadorship, the artist expands his influence beyond the realm of music, embracing the world of high-end fashion.

On Instagram, the artist shared photos of him effortlessly showcasing various Gucci products, ranging from the iconic loafers to a strikingly vibrant pullover. “[Your] new Gucci global brand ambassador,” he captioned the post. 

In a press release, the singer-songwriter also expressed his enthusiasm for his new role, saying that he resonates with Gucci’s rich history of “more than 100 years, continuously evolving in its own innovative and unique way. Additionally, he said: “I am happy to be Gucci’s global brand ambassador and to work closely together.”

Wow! TWICE’s Sana Sets Red Carpet Records With $33 Million Graff Jewelry

Sana of K-pop girl group TWICE is no stranger to turning heads in fashion events. However, her recent engagement with the luxurious brand Graff definitely topped the list. 

On Saturday, November 11, Sana graced the red carpet at the Graff Ginza’s flagship boutique for its second anniversary celebration. There, she wowed the attendees by showcasing over 188 carats of dazzling diamonds, which lifestyle websites estimated to be worth a staggering $33 million USD. 

To begin with, Sana’s red carpet appearance was already nothing but short of breathtaking. She donned a burgundy floor-length gown that complemented the brilliance of the Graff diamonds adorning her. But, it was undeniable that it was the accessories that elevated her ensemble. 

Notably, it’s the 102.34-carat round brilliant diamond in her necklace that served as the centerpiece of her overall look. Moreover, Sana also wore a diamond ring, which weighed over 20 carats, and chandelier earrings boasting more than 60 carats of platinum-set emeralds and diamonds. 

In total, the K-pop star carried an impressive 188.77 carats of polished Graff diamonds, making her red carpet appearance one of the most expensive in the history of such events. 

Sana on high fashion 

In early 2023, Sana was appointed as the first Japanese ambassador for the renowned jewelry brand. Through this, she developed a long-standing partnership with Graff that saw her don some of the brand’s most exquisite fashion pieces.

However, this recent event marked a history moment as the TWICE member not only showcased Graff’s craftsmanship, but also set a new standard for opulence in red carpet fashion. 

With this, Sana’s $33 million Graff diamond ensemble has now overshadowed some of the most iconic red carpet jewelry moments in history. In March, Jungkook‘s journey as a global brand ambassador for Calvin Klein Jeans and Underwear began. His debut in the spring 2023 campaign, captured by photographer Park Jong Ha, showcased a range of new styles. These included the ’90s straight denim and body jeans, the relaxed fit denim shirt, an oversized denim jacket, and the relaxed fit standard logo crewneck tee. 

His style evolution continued into the brand’s fall campaign, where he was joined by Alexa Demie, BLACKPINK’s Jennie, Kendall Jenner, and Kid Cudi. In September, Jungkook appeared on the cover of Dazed UK, where he opened up about his participation in the campaign.

Jimin’s Tattoo Artist Posts Shirtless Photos of the Star on SNS

BTS‘s Jimin has always captured fans’ hearts with his music and style, but recently, it’s his tattoos that are drawing significant attention. Tattoo artist Dong Hwa from Blind Studio took to social media to share a series of shirtless photos of Jimin, showcasing the intricate tattoos that adorn his body, and fans are absolutely thrilled.

The “NEVERMIND” tattoo, prominently inked on his ribs, is perhaps one of Jimin‘s most famous pieces. Originally a temporary design, Jimin later decided to make it a permanent one. This tattoo, along with others, was revealed in the shirtless photos that have now gone viral, highlighting not only the art but also Jimin‘s chiseled physique.

Among the other tattoos he has is the number ’13’ on the inside of his wrist. Fans speculate that it could represent BTS‘s debut date or Jimin‘s birthday. Additionally, he has moons on his back. They were first seen during the promotions for his solo album FACE. In 2022, Jimin revealed that these tattoos were inspired by a piece of fan art by digital illustrator @ArizzoStudios on X (formerly known as Twitter). It was his bandmate Kim Taehyung, aka V, who showed the fan art to him.

Jimin’s other tattoos include the words “Young” and “Forever” near his elbows, echoing the BTS track “Young Forever,” and the word “Youth” inscribed in cursive behind his ear. Jimin also has the number seven tattooed on his finger, which symbolizes the BTS members’ unity. He once said, “Like I told you guys before, I wanted it here so that you’d be able to see it when I hold the mic when I sing, but because my hands are really small, you can’t really see it. you have to use a thinner mic to see it.”

Dong Hwa, in sharing these photos, also shared his long-time connection with BTS, expressing his admiration for their passion and hard work. “After much contemplation, I’ve decided to post this. I regard them as cool musicians who have shown passion and perseverance for nearly a decade. I’ve known them since before their debut, and while I’ve worked on various projects with the company and the members, unfortunately, we haven’t been able to meet often due to their busy schedules. There were both big and small concerns I had while working with them, but my support has always been unwavering.
